Players describe Hot Mars 69 as a low-effort asset flip using GameGuru stock resources with minimal original development, criticized for being shovelware with poor production quality. Common complaints include extremely loud and glitchy audio, inconsistent crashes, bad gun mechanics, and a confusing story that requires reading external materials to understand, though some find the pulp sci-fi premise mildly interesting.
Warning: GameGuru Asset Flip!
Hot Mars 69 is a what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" bought the GameGuru first person shooter construction kit (no coding required, it's just a GUI!) and cobbled out a map or two using stock GameGuru assets... nothing in this game can really be called the creation of the developer, and yet they also failed to credit GameGuru or acknowlegde any of the GameGuru assets. They're trying (badly) to pass someone else's work as their own. It's just a bunch of random GameGuru assets dropped around a really lazy, stock textured GameGuru map template, with a bunch of GameGuru stock assets. This is more lazy Russian shovelware polluting Steam, from the racist homophobe, Nikita "Ghost_RUS", and features the typical lack of content, lazy, minimal implementation effort, and bad content. This asset flip is so badly done it's even using the default GameGuru launch screen and "options" page... and let's be clear, GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resolution or graphics tweaks, no controller tweaks... it's h…

VERY extremely loud audio, sometimes crashes but other times works fine, constant growling that appears out of nowhere even if you are alone, the worst gun range in history, scary alien monster things, sort of an interesting story if you read the thing and try to figure it out but if you don't read the thing then you're just sort of lost, overall id say it a good 3/10 on the bad games scale.

Hot Mars 69, developed by Nikita “Ghost_RUS” and published by Ghost_RUS Games, is a small-scale indie first-person shooter that leans heavily into pulp sci-fi and B-movie sensibilities. Set on a deserted Mars colony, the game frames its action around a simple premise: contact with the settlement has been lost, a rescue unit is dispatched, and almost immediately everything goes catastrophically wrong. You take control of the lone surviving operative, left to uncover what happened and fight through hordes of grotesque creatures that now infest the abandoned outpost. The setup is familiar and thinly sketched, serving mainly as an excuse to push the player from one combat encounter to the next rather than to tell a detailed or emotionally engaging story. Gameplay in Hot Mars 69 is built around an extremely straightforward shooting loop. Levels are largely linear, guiding the player through corridors, open yards, and sparse interiors where enemies are placed in predictable patterns. Combat focuses on constant forward movement and firing rather than tactical positioning or careful resource management. Weapons feel powerful, often dispatching enemies quickly, which reduces tension but ke…
