How We Got Here

Really really liked the game, although sometimes it was glitiching. Nothing too serious, just a couple of bugs so still playable The background storyline and the whole plot leave something to think about, puzzles are fine and I liked a bit of absurdity. It's showing that it was made with love. Thank you for the game!

This was a decent, enjoyable exploration game with a somewhat confusing but interesting story. I liked the two different achievements based on your final choice but since the game requires two walkthroughts to complete it I wish we could walk faster while holding an item or have the option to skip the dialogue lines we had gone through during the first walkthrough.

How We Got Here is a weird little adventure game that starts with me waking up on a floating island as a robot with absolutely no idea what is going on. From there I have to explore the islands around me, figure out how to reach new areas and slowly work out what happened to me and everyone else. I like how quickly the game gives me a mystery without making everything feel overly serious. There is something quite relaxing about wandering around these strange floating places while also knowing there is something much bigger going on underneath everything. The exploration is simple, but I think that works in the game's favour. I am mostly looking around, interacting with things, talking to characters and working out how I can move forward. Each island has its own little mysteries and things to discover, so I am encouraged to actually look around rather than just rushing from one objective to the next. There are also decisions that can affect how my playthrough develops, which gives some of the conversations more importance. I like that the game does not need a huge combat system to keep me interested because the main reason I want to continue is finding out what is actually happenin…

Despite being quick, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Lots of little bonuses, and an intriguing storyline. Honestly, I only wish it was longer!
