I've fallen asleep twice while playing this game, and I'm not diabetic. Gameplay loop is fighting waves of enemies that take four base damage to kill (red) and enemies that take six base damage to kill (blue), over and over, never changing, never developing new tactics or experiencing hp growth. The game will spawn three minibosses with different (?) graphics but all have the same three attacks: difficult to see purple attack, worthless yellow bombs that my grandmom could avoid and what is essentially an undodgeable laser. The tactic to defeat all of these is hiding behind a pillar like you're playing WoW arena and taking potshots in between their attacks. The end boss? The same thing as the minis, with more hp. As for the village system, I've upgraded five buildings and unlocked ZERO villagers. None. They took a minute of real time to wait and see the results. Why? If the developer had stopped to ask this question at any point, I'm sure they could've come up with a purpose, but it's one of those things that they asked AI to create and never stopped to decide on the functionality themselves.
