A Difficult but Rewarding experience! The Story is both Interesting and Unique (even if I missed a few things) and has taken some interesting turns in just a few hours of gameplay I have currently played while writing this review. It's not perfect and has some frustrating elements but considering the amount of content you get and passion that has been put into it. It's well worth supporting,

I'm not into games like this one at all but it totally sucked me in with it's unique story. I love how it's designed in terms of color, it's adding so much personality and it's own quirkness, very eye-catching. PLUSES: - unique pixel art style and color choices - very interesting plot - main character is a birb - lot's of cool looking characters - music is really nice and catchy - everything is well described and beginner friendly in terms of controls MINUSES: - TOO HARD! I can't go past some mobs because they're too hard to kill :( (but that's my skill issue, if someone likes hard, skillish games this one will be perfect. Also I feel bullied when my last save point tells me my death count, I've played it for only 2 and a half hours and I died 17 times already...

TLDR: No, I wouldn't actually recommend this game to most people. With that said, if you're looking for an extremely difficult challenge, and you're able to look past countless bugs and spelling mistakes, then you should absolutely give Iridescent a try. Seriously, Iridescent is easily the hardest game that I've ever beaten. The difficulty is based around its unique parry-based combat, but you can also expect some tricky puzzles from time to time. If you play the demo, know that that is barely the beginning. There are loads of Zelda-like dungeons, items, collectibles, characters, quests, everything you could ask for in an adventure game! Iridescent is both a very big, and very fulfilling game. An immense accomplishment from a solo developer! If you like dying, and then aura farming super hard with the biggest clutch victory known to man, and then repeating that say a dozen times, you gotta play it. There's a boss rematch room too, and getting better at each boss and suddenly realizing the different situations some weapons shine in, and switching your weapons in the middle of attacks... yeah it's awesome. Cut my clear time of one of them down from 2 minute 05 seconds to 44.60 seconds and it's making me want to become a speedrunner plz help Gotta talk about the dungeons too. Actually remind me of old zelda dungeons, with the item unlocks being new weapons that come with a mobility upgrade instead of say iron boots or a hookshot. The dungeons themselves are also challenging to get through, the big highlights are the bosses, but the dungeons aren't just a thing in the way (unless the elevator becomes haunted again! :D ) Also watch out for Sick Boxer... if you die to him... you lose aura...!!! There is a particular part of the game that looks like a bug, but it is fully intended. Crazy. (Disclaimer: unintended bugs most likely still exist lmao)
