New France, 1682. A man is traveling from Ville-Marie to Trois-Rivières. The woods are a dangerous place. No one should wander in alone, but his dying brother needs its aid. On the road, as the sun settles down, something attacks him. It wasn’t an animal, or a man. It was something else. To save his brother’s life, he’ll have to find a way out before the night falls. But what lurks in the woods?

"It Lurks in the Woods" is a garbage Unity asset flip... a bunch of assets stolen off the Unity Asset Store and rearranged badly on a first person adventure game blueprint to make one of many thousands of first person jumpscare Unity asset flips on Steam. The only difference with this one is it's slightly worse than the usual Russian ones and the scam pricing is laid out differently. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for an eye watering FIFTY TWO UNITED STATES DOLLAR "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Seriously, this guy wants up to $52 USD in donations for stealing a bunch of assets off the Unity Asset Store and slapping his own name on it. Like the homeless guys who s…4 found this helpful

Игровой процесс прост, но требует внимательности: каждый шаг — на грани смерти. Сюжет развивается неожиданно, с нюансами и психологической глубиной. Однако сложность управления и не всегда логичные головоломки могут оттолкнуть. Подойдёт любителям пугающих историй, но не для слабонервных.

i liked it but didnt like it, as a whole yes. i dont know how i feel about the ghost body bags and that light orb, but for the most part yes it was nice and eerie. i cant read Running Writing well, so i read the hints the best i could and ignored the notes. also, when the forest chase scene there was no clue where to go, so i had to redo that like 10 times.
