About Jaws Of Extinction™
Jaws Of Extinction (JoE) is a story-driven, single-player, and multiplayer, horror-survival RPG. Your story begins on a large, open-world island known as Eden-Nadir; a place renowned for its beauty and thriving wildlife.
You will be faced with decisions that you may not wish to make as you battle against terrifying infected locals, brutal armed survivors, dangerous native wildlife, exposure to the elements, and the threats posed by other players.
Play single-player, co-op with up to 4 friends, or multiplayer on a dedicated server. Follow the storyline and uncover the dark secrets of Eden-Nadir or go off the beaten track and simply survive in the huge, open-world, hand-crafted environment.
The infected can do almost everything you can do—climb, vault, run, and even open doors. To get an edge, players must use stealth, cunning and the appropriate equipment to survive.
The infected are not reanimated undead. They are conscious and completely aware of what is happening, but have no control over their actions. Screaming in pain, they are slaves to the fungal parasite seen protruding from wounds on their bodies.
Headshots will spread a cloud of hazardous fungal spores. The best way to eliminate the infected is by damaging the heart. Take mercy on them.
Infected are attracted to water and become extremely dangerous when exposed to it. Every trip to a reliable watering hole carries risk, and be wary of straying too far from safety when dark clouds are overhead. The skies will betray you in other ways too. Beware of flocks of carrion birds that will give away your position.
What will be your profession? You can build, craft, trade, farm, hunt, fight, scavenge, loot, ambush and steal… it’s all up to you! How will you choose to survive?
The island of Eden-Nadir’s diverse biomes range from sweeping lavender and cornfields to sun-dappled forests and beautiful seashores which feed into murky swamps. If you're looking to settle in a more urban environment, then the island is dotted with deserted towns, fortified cities, even quaint villages and picturesque countryside retreats. All waiting to be claimed.

Game is abandoned and never completely changed what they were promising from Kickstarter. 1 of 4 Kickstarters that I have backed for games and 1 of 4 Kickstarters of games that robbed me of money and failed to deliver. It honestly should not be able to be bought as they have abandoned this project and shouldn't be permitted to still get money if someone foolishly stumbles across this "game" and gets scammed as well.7 found this helpful
Hours Played: Enough to scramble for supplies and still get mauled Verdict: ⚠️ Mixed (Big Ideas, Uneven Execution) Jaws Of Extinction is an open-world survival horror RPG set on a massive infected island where scavenging, crafting, base building, and staying alive are constant struggles. The setting is interesting, the world is large, and the game wants to give you a deep survival experience with RPG elements and co-op play. When things work, it can be tense and rewarding fortifying shelters, managing resources, and navigating dangerous areas feels satisfying. There’s genuine potential here, and the scope is impressive for a survival game. Unfortunately, the execution is rough. Performance issues, bugs, clunky animations, and unfinished mechanics hold the game back. The UI can feel awkward, and systems don’t always mesh smoothly. It often feels like a game with great ambition that hasn’t quite finished putting all the pieces together. What it does right: * Large open world with survival and RPG systems * Base building and crafting mechanics * Tense atmosphere and threat of infected enemies Where it struggles: * Bugs and performance problems * Rough animations and UI * Incons…3 found this helpful
Dead game, no development being done. Don't buy.2 found this helpful
Game is full of bugs like losing your body when the game launches you into the middle of nowhere after goin in the water. No direction or goals. Just scavenge and get no where. Tried a few quests only to die over and over. Tried a few of the characters and none of them are good. No easier mode to help learn the game. Needs lots of work to be playable.1 found this helpful
I would not recommend purchasing this game. It appears to be stuck in prolonged development with very few meaningful updates. I also had a negative experience with additional content. I purchased several DLC costumes through the game’s external website, where keys are provided for in-game use. Unfortunately, the keys did not work, and I was unable to access the content I paid for. When I reached out for support via the official Discord, my concerns were not addressed in a helpful or professional manner. After attempting for several weeks to resolve the issue, I was ultimately told to simply play the game without the purchased items, and no further assistance was offered. I generally leave positive reviews when warranted, but in this case, I cannot recommend the game or the purchasing experience based on my experience.1 found this helpful
To who it concerns: I don't care how long its sat with zero progress. The basics should F**ken work!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For example being able to look in ALL directions with the Mouse. That's PC F**KING gaming 101. I tried the key binding and it ether will switch to look up/down or right/left. I don't like using controllers. If i wanted to use controllers I would own an X-Box or PlayStation.
