About Jishogi
Note: You do not need any knowledge of chess or shogi whatsoever in order to enjoy this game. The puzzles are 2D spatial puzzles that use chess and shogi pieces as a theme, and are more akin to something like solitaire than real-life chess or shogi. In-game help is always available and shogi pieces are color-coded so that anyone can memorize them easily. There is also an easy mode that anybody should be able to complete without trouble.
Otonashi Mayu is a bullied, weird girl. She is excellent at shogi, but extremely quiet, a little scary, and dark rumors swirl about her like thick smoke. Her worst bully, Fifield, torments her regularly, and the game begins with the start of her worst act yet.
Magic exists in this society, and Fifield is a witch. Using her power, she decides to invade Mayu's mind, with the goal of digging up all of her dark secrets, and uncovering the truth of what exactly Mayu is and why. But the mind invasion spell is fragile, and there are some things that are better left uncovered. Let things slip too far, and the hunted just might be able to become the hunter...
Part puzzle game, part walking simulator, and part visual novel, Jishogi is a story about revenge, forgiveness, talent, ethics, and sexuality. It features heavy moral ambiguity, and as much potential for evil as there is good.
Note: The game has between 3-10 hours worth of content, depending on how many endings you want to see and how fast you are with puzzles.

Quite a good game for someone's second go at creating something. The story is absolutely something rich, the puzzles are something I think most unique, and wished it could be expanded on in some sequel. The endings that let you do your desires or not, its freeing compared to other games, and the changes in the story depending on the swapping of genders or completion is a nice touch. The ost I actually really like, Sunny Sigh being my favourite as it just feels so resigned to the SuperEgo, Endgame being the most focused, Twin Desires being the most depressing, but absolutely right to how the bad endings play out. I wonder if I should make a video about this game's full scope, as I've data-mined it, this game is made in godot ( the best engine I personally think ). Wish walking was able to be faster and more "free-er" as in after opening a door, I could immediately start moving so I wasn't stand there watching fade outs. In fact there's a lot of fading and fade out time like when getting to watch a memory, which can be a bit annoying when trying to complete endings ( which is why I have it unfinished, but data-mining gets me more than I could ever want for dialog anyways ) I... re…1 found this helpful
It's peak Yuri Don't worry about the puzzles too much. On first-timer intended settings it feels more like a physics puzzler. What with your pieces moving in a line until they're stopped or bounced off a wall.
