Kero Kero Cowboy

I'm writing this review after the 100% completion and this is one of the best Game Boy Color games that I've ever played, and well worth the 10 dollars the game is priced at. I pretty much liked everything about it, and while there aren't many options for the game like changing controls for example, it's still a very enjoyable experience. I kinda wish the invincibility frames lasted a tiny bit longer as you sometimes get killed in just a couple of seconds in some situations. I also wish there was a way to change back to original green skin for Kero Kero after getting all Star coins. Aside from that, great game !

This is an incredibly charming game that mixes mario and kirby together. From the color and cuteness of its characters to the way you interact with the menus, this game is filled with many cute details. Though its not without its flaws, the frame rate seems to drop when more than a few enemies are on screen or in the ice water level, when you get hit you unequip the gun, the crickets have a glitch where they ignore invincibility frames. and 5-2... if this game was popular enough to have difficulty level rankings, this level would always be near the top. too many ghosts combined with the finikey water jump phisics. developers please remove some of the ghosts, if they don't then the best advice i can give you is to lure them away before running away so they despawn off screen. other than that this game is an absolute treat to play would reccomend it to everyone.

I kid you not I wrote a review for this game that would take longer to read than it would for you to *complete this game. I will attempt to summarize without spoiling anything. There are five worlds in this game. I initially wrote my review after finishing the first three worlds thinking there was no way a game could have a drop in quality substantial enough for me to change how I felt at the time. I was wrong. Each level is segmented by a single checkpoint. But don't think of it like a checkpoint in most platformers where the purpose is to reward you by not having to replay the entire level again. No. The game changes drastically between these checkpoints. So much that I'm strongly convinced two separate people made each half of each level without any correspondence. As well as I firmly believe that one of these developers is amazing, while the other one is trying to get people to literally lose their minds. This doesn't kick in fully until World 4. There is one half of one level in World 3 that should have been foreshadowing, but it was the outlier among many other great cohesive levels.
