Interesting premise: kill/reload/dash on beat for bonuses, combos, etc. Bosses are generally well designed and fun to fight. Game overall feels smooth and has some cool upgrade combos. The ability to warp between cleared rooms is very convenient. Nits: - When player loses health, the entire screen flashes red and plays a losing health animation. This is very bad in a bullet hell - Too many collectibles, felt like I had to go around and farm all of them because they can add up to 30+ tickets, which can be used to purchase some health. Not really what I want to be doing in a hades-like. - Character can blend into the background easily - Can't select guns with number keys - Stingy with iframes, felt like I got hit mid dash very frequently Overall, pretty fun game. I'd say it's worth 10 bucks with all the trials and additional content you can do.2 found this helpful

Interesting shooter game that ties your damage output to the beat playing during a stage. You can still attack by mashing the button and completely ignoring the rhythm, but you’ll only deal minimal damage compared to landing attacks right on the beat. Your weapon choice matters too. A regular gun fires quickly and makes it easy to stay in rhythm, while a shotgun fires slowly and needs to reload after every shot, so timing becomes much more important. One really cool feature is the finishing move. When an enemy’s health gets low enough, you can jump to it from a distance and instantly finish it off. You can always kill enemies the normal way by shooting them, but using a finisher gives you a temporary speed boost and invincibility. As for mobility, you only have a dash, but it’s useful for escaping enemies or passing through dangerous attacks. During battle rooms, rewards periodically appear around the arena, but they disappear if you don’t grab them quickly enough. The most common reward is a yellow orb that lets you miss a beat and still deal maximum damage. You can store up to five orbs and lose one whenever you miss the rhythm, but the game throws plenty of them at you during …
Game runs smooth/cool on my Asus ROG Ally X (Silent mode). Controls are simple & the gameplay feels fluid, with decent weapon & relic/effect variety. Much as I like the idea of Rhythm games, I am NOT musically inclined. Besides the audio, there's a visual for the beat around enemies/yourself, haptic feedback (vibration) to the beat, & can modify the settings to tweak metronome volume & beat offset. Only complaint is visual clutter when taking a hit & the walking through plants to collect Tickets (I know it's not necessary, but it's less fun than breaking every pot in a game with 0% chance of unique rewards, just ~10% chance of tiny amount of currency). Would be nice if they were more clustered & more often in the middle of areas instead of on the edges, especially if breaking 25-50% of them instantly broke the rest in that cluster. Audio when picking up Tickets might throw us off the beat, so maybe a visual indicator (particle effect?) with a "pling" vibe...?
Nice game
Pretty fun game, solid game play. The addition of the "kill beat' is an interesting way of slightly changing up the formula. Overall worth a try if you are into the rogue-like genre.
