Kill The Music

incredible, made with love, buggy at times but still amazing as all hell. music slaps, heartfelt story about life and death and living with no regrets. punk ass aesthetic. peak game

Great game and great story. Wish there was slightly more variety in the songs, but all in all amazing. 8/10

Fun power fantasy vampire survivor like that you play vaguely to a beat. In about 10 hours you'll definitely have seen everything there is to see. The different absurdities don't feel all that difficult from one to the other, in the end you always wind up either with far too weak upgrades or with far too strong upgrades that just leave your screen covered in gunk and that have you either press the double beat constantly, or you just keep spamming the solo button because at this point you've built up so much meter gain that you can just play the solo button on every beat. You've got a few other options, and there's a few build variations that play the same as the aforementioned (you could have a heal build with shockwaves, or play off of bursts and have enemies chain explode into projectiles, sure but the outcome is the same. you're pressing the button on the beat and filling the screen with lots of gunk!!! so much gunk that you can't see the enemy projectiles and instantly die because you got the enemy attack up with your combo and your combo has built up to 2000 in the span of 2 minutes and now every single projectile is a nuclear bomb that instantaneously sends you in to the pits…

I feel like the more i play the game I less enjoy it. Levels keeps getting longer, gameplay is so repetable that after 3 or 4 songs it's just clicking space and mouse. I don't have to dodge because i kill every enemy instantly. During rounds I have full squad always on "solo" buff and full screen is covered in colours, numbers and effects so it's pointless to even move. On the other hand artstyle is very unique and nice looking. I like it very much. Music is cool but i feel that it fades when everyone clicks for their "solo". Also that stupid snare and plate everytime i click space gets so annoying. It's sad because game has potential and i want to complete it all, but for now I've had my fun. I'll finish it after some updates or if I'll get eaten by boredome.

For what the game has to offer, I had a good time overall. I liked the gameplay and that every character had a different play style to make each round unique. The story was alright, the art in the cutscenes definitely helped to keep me engaged. The only thing that I wish was that there was more variety of music. What the game has is nice and rocking, but if each of the difficulties had a unique boss soundtrack, I would be more inclined to play certain levels on repeat and look forward to new difficulties. Overall, I was satisfied. Overall, for the size of the team, great game!

Neat little short game, Interesting story, Fun gameplay loop, Easy to 100% I will note that audio for the game can be rather loud, Audio controlls adjust audio for in game, but when in menues or inload screens, the full 100% SFX and Audio blasts your ears.
