Killer is Dead - Nightmare Edition

Technical and controls problems aside, this game is incredible, from the stunning, ageless visuals to the exaggerated and stereotypical characters, complemented with satisfying action and a cryptic plot hidden behind many almost nonsensical elements. Yes, you'll need to go through the game file's to change the resolution and to unlock the framerate, at the cost of some extremely fast menus and interface elements and of being forced to use a turbo button mode to pass some button smashing phases. But the experience is totally worth it. This extremely dark and obscure cel shading, with deep blacks as dazzling as white glimmers, together with the entire game's visual design, creates something that's really out of any age, doesn't require to conform to some graphical level. In combat, it's not always clear when you are allowed to perform some actions, while others are less or more intelligible depending on the situation or the enemy, like for the parries; few bad hit boxes and the camera don't help either. [h1]Kill, Get Paid (allegedly), Date Beauties[/h1] First things first: have you ever played a game by Suda51 before? [b]If yes:[/b] Just play it. It's good enough. [b]If no:[/b] I'd still recommend playing it, but go in with an open mind. Suda51's games are a little... exotic. [i]Killer Is Dead[/i] takes place in a universe where the moon emits a dark energy called "Dark Matter", this energy corrupts humans of "weak will", turning them into Wires. The protagonist, Mondo Zappa, works as an executioner for a government-funded organization whose purpose is to eliminate people possessed by Dark Matter. Mondo has a bionic arm called Musselback, which works as a multi-purpose weapon, despite him having memory problems and not knowing how he got it. The game has 13 main missions, 12 side missions, 20 challenges, and 3 Gigolo missions (we'll talk about those later). It takes around 9 hours to finish the story and do some of the side content, around ~15 hours if you want to do everything, and roughly ~25 hours to get 100%. While I actully quite enjoy the combat of the game, although is is quite brutal, and the look of the game is jsut *chefs kiss* unfrountely I have to giv e athumbs down as I had issues with crashing. It should also be aware the game a bit creepy with it's women dating section taht you use for upgrades and heavy mashing is also invlolved.
