this game is good. cheap fun. more of a 90% positive on steam. if you like simple and unique metroidvanias this game pulls it off. games like transiruby, cat maze, rebel transmute, momodora, and some others come to mind. like pheonotopia awakening. this game is right up that alley. and does it well imo. some of the music is gas. some of it is ehh. but overall love the unique snowy vibe of this game. feels like the perfect metroidvania to hold me over until castlevania, bloodstained, castle in the darkness 2, and others like crowsworn2 found this helpful
The gameplay is fun and it is not to hard to get all the achievements.
A fun bite-sized Metroidvania. I was super annoyed at first by the precision platforming segments, but they are actually pretty limited and don't overstay their welcome, also, the game later gives you items to defeat or circumvent the 1HKO traps. I would love to see this author make a full-length (20+ hour) game in the same genre. Sprites are cute, game is fun, exploration is rewarded. I would say the heaviest influence is Cave Story but it does have it's own groove. All the elements of a good Metroidvania are here, would just like a longer, grindier experience for that true SotN feel. That's a dragon worth chasing.
Diabolical mind never fails to make some quality bangers and this is no different. I've been addicted and any fans of the metroidvania genre should give this one a go!
Good game. No issues on Steam Deck. Not too much of a story, but enough of one to make me wish I played the first one.. first. I now have a fear sharp objects.
i enjoyed as far as i got, but at a point it feels like everything is hitting me for half my health and theres stuff everywhere and lava one hit deaths and spike one hit deaths and death animations that take a long time when im dying every ten seconds, maybe i just went the wrong way or something idk lol
