Lightmatter Anniversary

A very generous offering. As a collection of prototypes for a complete game it's rather jank and glitchy, and sometimes doesn't seem to play by its own rules, but you get plenty of interesting puzzles here for no cost at all, and you do get a sense of how Lightmatter in the end came together. It's unfortunate that Tunnel Vision Games is no longer active because on this evidence they have plenty of game-making talent.

A collection of early prototypes and demos for the great puzzle game [url=store.steampowered.com/app/994140/Lightmatter/]Lightmatter[/url] (back then, it was still called [b]See You on the Other Side[/b]). Some of these are a bit rough and very unpolished, but the point of this collection is not to be a final product, but instead, to show you the development process of the main game. And I'd say it does that well enough. I'd also say the last 2 levels are polished enough to serve as a demo for the full [url=store.steampowered.com/app/994140/Lightmatter/]Lightmatter[/url], since you can play them for free, and decide if you want to buy the game after.

[h2]As someone who really enjoyed the game and wanted more this filled the hole, slightly.[/h2] If you played through the game this is definitely worth a play, even if you don't complete every demo of the game available. (I didn't) I only had one bug. The lighting in one of the levels was wrong, making the area needed to progress seem inaccessible. Not a surprise considering it's a YEARS old demo for a version of a YEARS old game when it was in development. There really isn't much else to say. Definitely worth while. It's interesting. It's free. It's Lightmatter.
