✦ AI summary

Players consistently highlight severe translation issues as a critical problem, particularly problematic in a text-heavy game where understanding is essential to making correct decisions. The English localization is described as full of errors, nonsensical wording, and grammatical mistakes throughout, with comparisons to the studio's previous game showing a significant quality drop that impacts both narrative comprehension and gameplay. While some appreciate the narrative and game concept itself, the poor translation quality is considered game-breaking and a dealbreaker for most players who ca

The English translation is full of errors and problems. I played and finished Lightracer Spark before, from the same studio, and that translation also wasn't perfect, but it was much better than this. The quality is really bad, and it even impacts the gameplay, since you have to read a lot of text to understand what's going on and make the correct choices. Sometimes, even the text about the cases you're tasked with analyzing and judging has errors and issues, and that can actually lead you to judge a case incorrectly because the English translation is a bludgeoned mess. I requested a refund. I like the game, but this is a game-breaking issue for a title that revolves around reading text primarily. I cannot recommend it.

Honestly, I really loved Lightracer: Spark, I haven't even finished it but knew I wanted to play it to the end eventually. There are very miscellaneous grammar mistakes in that game but it is otherwise perfectly acceptable dialogue. This game, however, is absurd. There are simple grammar mistakes EVERYWHERE, so much to the point where you have to guess the context/direction of the dialogue. I don't understand how Spark was so much better and cleaner dialogue and then this is just atrocious. I get it though, it's a low priced game, but when the other game in the franchise has so much better localization there is just no excuse. Since this is primarily a text-based game, since the English translation is horrible and littered with constant issues, I cannot recommend this game.

In a game where you play as a judge the rebels treat you with more respect than your bosses.

Really liked the concept but for a game that involves so much reading the English translation is unplayably bad.
