I didn't give this much time, but reading the other reviews confirm that my major gripe with it isn't going to go away with further play: You pick up one-use items like pots and throw them at enemies. No sword, no gun, just that.. Constantly running around picking up items to throw at enemies is just tedium/clunky/un-fun/annoying to me.

Yes, but not for everyone. I like throwing pots in Zelda top down games. If you don't, then best avoid this. It's a mellower top down action game, that still has some action, without the frenetic (albeit awesomeness) of Hades. Whenever I thought "I would love a fast travel," there was usually one right around the corner. But you can't just save wherever. It's like light collectathon of gathering throwable objects, evade enemies often, battle when needed, and follow light puzzle paths. Has a good atmosphere. It just feels like a game that was considered carefully. I'm only at the second boss.

nice little top down, I enjoyed the puzzles although I think some more complex puzzles would've been nice. There's some qol here and there that would've been nice but overall a nice experience

Lila’s Sky Ark is a distinctive and atmospheric indie action-adventure that prioritizes mood, creativity, and emotional resonance over conventional structure. Developed by Monolith of Minds and published by Graffiti Games, the title invites players into a surreal floating world that feels more like a living dream than a traditional fantasy setting. From the outset, the game establishes a strong sense of identity through its striking audiovisual presentation and unconventional design choices, signaling that this is an experience meant to be felt and interpreted rather than simply completed. You play as Lila, a young girl navigating a mysterious skybound island filled with strange creatures, cryptic characters, and environments that shift between playful whimsy and quiet melancholy. The world itself is the main narrative vehicle, with story elements revealed through exploration, fragmented dialogue, and environmental cues rather than explicit exposition. Themes of loss, memory, and emotional healing are woven subtly into the experience, allowing players to piece together meaning at their own pace. This narrative ambiguity can feel deeply engaging for those who enjoy interpretive sto…

I enjoyed this game. the gameplay was fun and the whole “everything is a throwable weapon” mechanic was a little fumbly at times but overall very unique. I thought the story was intriguing, but I felt let down by the ending and I would have appreciated something that actually provided me with a bit of closure. the art and music are both simple and charming, which fit very nicely with the overall aesthetic. my only real complaints are around the hints for quests and world mechanics like the lighthouse, since nobody really tells you anything useful I stumbled around clueless for a long time. this is a nice little game, and although its somewhat flawed at times if you enjoy zelda-style adventures I would recommend it.

Very good, very surreal dreamscape-esque experience.
