Violet Mind and The Mysterious Island

As my friend PLukol's first ever Steam published game, Violet Mind and the Mysterious Island was a very VERY fun game to play through! You play as Violet Mind and have to investigate a village and lots of areas to find out what's going on. It's a sidescroller metroidvania game with lots of upgrades you can get along with optional ones like ones to increase your damage, ones to increase your max HP, ones to increase the explosion range of your shots, different types of shot patterns, and more! There's also mandatory colored keys you have to find to be able to open different colored locks/gates and lots of bosses along with three endings! The game was really fun and has replayability if you wanna do some challenges like no Damage Ups, and etc! If you're a MLP fan, you should play this game!

I cannot express how much I love 2D oldschool games, and Creepypasta games, and this is an amazing mix of both. I am sorry if You haven't played but I have to mention the Creepypasta part and how It gets to You outta nowhere. This is great, and I hope achievements can be implemented into the game. Also (bug report), there are spanish messages on the inventory

Violet Mind and The Mysterious Island is a cute classic 2d platformer with metroidvania exploration mixed with dark/horror elements. The core gameplay is okay, classic platformer, jump, dodge and shoot with mechanics where the player must use the right kind of magic (pure magic, fire, ice, electricity) and sometimes even combine them to overcome obstacles. Each area/biome isn't too big so the game doesn't feel monotonous + there are a lot of secrets. The music in the game is really good. There are over 50 soundtracks, where each location/boss fight/special event has unique ost. (My favorite soundtracks: 01 – Main Theme, 27 - Light of Awakening, 30 - Frozen Bubbles, 34 - Hot Magma In Your Zone) The controls are fine. I played with a controller and the only problem is the mapping of the ‘Patterns’. Patterns are how we fire magic bullets. In the game you can find about 8 basic patterns, each of which probably has its own alternative version. The problem is that the more basic patterns you have, the more difficult it will be to select the right one with just one button. It's a bit of a pain.
