Little Dew Drop

This reminded me of one of those old-school Flash games I used to play on my parents' computer. Saying that this game doesn't play the smoothest. It could do with an extra frame when it comes to the animations, the jump, and moving controls to make it look more fluid. Also jumping feels too floating. Nonetheless, this is still a simple cute game to play when you need peace of mind.

Searching for the term "platformer" on Steam gives you over 17,000 results... there's thousands and thousands of garbage tier platformers infesting Steam. "Little Dew Drop" fits right into that category of retro 2D shovelware glutting the Steam store. Only a tiny number of those are any good, and this isn't one of them. This simple and unambitious platformer is just a drop in the ocean (sorry, had to do it) of thousands of platformers on Steam. You control a water drop and you move through a forest to try find some sun, which will evaporate you and you'll die. Such is the circle of life... but yes, rather poorly conceieved concept, but that's fitting as the quality of this Unity platformer is equally poor. The platforming genre is pretty much obsolete... just a tiny number of professionally developed platformers exist on PC and offer any real value or interest to gamers (Silksong, etc). This is nowhere near being as good as Hollow Knight or Silksong. Even without a price tag, it's easy to see why gamers ignored this in favor of modern, professionally developed 3D games. it's missing polish but it was fun. reminds me of old flash games. there are also some sick tricks u can do with sticking to some ceilings and (i assume unintended) walljumping

This was cute :) I like the level design, especially in the last part of the game. The music is chill. I really like the painted backgrounds. I'm not sure if collecting all the moisture unlocks something special at the end, as I missed a few, and there wasn't a way to backtrack in the level. I kept wanting to press the down arrow to crouch, because the player character is a squishy drop of water.
