Were you a fan of the original Machina of the Planet Tree. Looking for another JRPG to play that is charming and fun. Look elsewhere cause this game lacks everything the original does. Where it's overally fanservicey with a character that has the personality of a brick. Control is awful where you are summoning jewel creatures and walk weirdly back and forth.

Machina of the Planet Tree -Unity Unions- is definitely not the greatest game of all time, and while the somewhat obvious lack of variety in gameplay does make you wonder how the game came to fruition, I do think this is an enjoyable game if you're into PvE with a Diablo-esque style of shuffling weapons/equipment around constantly. It's actually fairly fun to experiment with different equipment builds to challenge yourself in the otherwise lacking content of the game. --Pros-- + Gameplay is pretty simple to understand and master quickly + Equipment building is pretty fun + Able to experiment with different play-styles based on said equipment building + Quick game to finish, easy to pick up and set down as needed + Minions are a fun mechanic that ties into the story somewhat + Main character is cute --Cons-- - Game is not worth the $19 full price unfortunately, pick it up when it's on sale though! - After you beat the main story, if you're interested in playing the game again for difficulty-related achievements, (1) harder difficulties don't supersede easier ones (meaning you need to play every level on every difficulty) and (2) inventory management becomes the biggest time inv…

This game is too painful to play. The "ammo" is uncalled for tbh. The core systems seem to be rather robust when compared to other aspects, as if it's paid system template. Though it could be the dev worked hard on it. I don't know the truth so let's leave it this way. I only played until the wolf level after you could spend points to upgrade your character or minions. There are more than enough elements to be called "Action RPG". In fact there could be much fewer stuffs and make them more "fun" to play instead. Stuffs around combat system have potential to make a good game. It's just too painful to play. Some maps are too big for this type of games. You either have traversing mode or make the maps smaller. The balance for staffs are just too wacky. The game loop is around 2 to 5 minutes and you have staffs that have 60 seconds and 120 seconds cooldown. Not to mention the normal cooldown is 18 seconds which is rather big here. It'd be different if the game is MMORPG which focusing on how well you cycle your skills and have other players draw aggro for you. But this is like you have to let your minions work and hide behind them instead. I mean it's fine if you like AFK plays…

Not a bad game but not worth the full asking price. Pros: Main character girl is a cute and sexy busty blonde Game play mechanics are solid Graphics are nice and vibrant Music is well made Cons: Way too short for the asking price Combat is too simple but maybe that's all you want sometimes Overall, if you get it for like 1 or 2 dollars CDN (5 at most) and you like busty blonde anime girls then you won't be disappointed.
