Machine Child

Better than bad but not amazing. I wouldn't pay more than the base price, and you arent missing out on much so wait for a sale. If you are new to this genre of "raising sims" let me first say, its fun. Seeing how different life choices lead down to different outcomes in life. I would definitely recommend others over this one, but this one isnt horrible. Id pick this one if you already played Valcano Princess, Princess Maker, Magical Princess, or Long Live the Queen. And if you havent, I would check any one of those out first before this one. I bought this one primarily because I already played those ones to completion, and secondary I am a fan of the lead artist on this project.

I thought this was a cute game like Volcano Princess; instead it is a game about an incestous relationship between a care giver and characters explicitly referred to as a child both in title and throughout the duration of the game. While sexual depictions of the children have been removed as per steam's censorship guidelines, Machine Child should not be available for purchase anywhere at all as its very nature is disturbing and harmful.

I really want to like this game I really do, the art is amazing but everything else is not too much. I think one of the main issues I have with the game is there's barely any unique npc in the game. Basically most of the npc in the game is a common npc using the same portrait with no unique name, they are basically like villagers A B C or nobles A B C. So it made the place where we interact with feels hollow and empty.

This game had potential to be better but I guess the developers preferred a stripped-down approach to the gameplay, as what some of the other players here have mentioned about how simple and unfulfilling the entire game is. Also, there is no save option, and the player can only play one daughter at a time. I wanted to like this game, but all I did was simply mindless clicking away here and there.
