Decent and rather tricky at times. Particularly chapter 3 had a few toughies (hints are present if required). The three chapters each had a nicely distinct aesthetic and atmosphere. There was a smidge of a story, though it had little impact. Resolution options available were weird (no 2560x1440). There are time limits present (unless "Relax Mode" is enabled) which don't really serve any purpose. A few hours worth of gameplay. 63/100

Mad Experiments: Escape Room is a puzzle-focused cooperative adventure from PlayTogether Studio that takes the excitement of physical escape room attractions and transforms it into a digital experience built around teamwork, observation, and logical thinking. Rather than relying on fast-paced action or survival mechanics, the game challenges players to work through elaborate environments filled with mysteries, hidden clues, and interconnected puzzles. Its foundation may seem familiar to fans of the genre, but its commitment to cooperative problem-solving and atmospheric presentation gives it a distinct identity. The game introduces players to an unusual situation involving Professor Cheshire, a mysterious figure conducting strange experiments tied to human behavior and intelligence. Alongside his assistant Hildegarde, Cheshire places participants into carefully designed rooms where observation and deduction become essential tools for survival and progress. While escape rooms traditionally focus purely on solving puzzles to escape confinement, Mad Experiments adds a layer of narrative intrigue that gives purpose to every challenge. The gradual uncovering of secrets behind these exp…

An unfortunately bad exocution of a good idea. Mad Experiments: Escape Room is a game that tasks you with searching a small space for clues on how to reach an exit condition of some kind. As is true with most escape room style games, this game lives and dies based on the clues and puzzles. If the clues are too obscure or the puzzles too difficult, the game is frustrating and feels obtuse. If the puzzles are too easy and the clues too straight forward, the game doesn't offer enough substance to really get your cognitive juices flowing. Unfortunately, after playing through the first room in the game, I find that this game is lacking in essentially every category. The first puzzle that I found simply asked me to count light fixtures, not difficult, but not exactly interesting either. Usually, these games would have counting items be just the first step in solving a puzzle. Next, I found a puzzle that wanted me to solve a door code using two separate clues, but neither was very straight forward in giving me the information needed to solve the puzzle. Luckily, one of the clues had such an obviously different section of text, I figured it could only be the answer, and it was…

Badly implemented. Clunky controls and lots of bugs.

It was faster to guess puzzle solutions than solve them. Not very well designed.
