About The Experiment: Escape Room
"The Experiment" is a multiplayer escape room puzzle game for virtual reality or desktop PC! It can be played competitively, co-op or solo.
While visiting a well renowned doctor, you notice something is amiss at his office. Before you realize what's going on, he drugs you and you fall asleep. When you wake up, you are sitting on a chair in the back room, locked and unable to get out of the building. You can tell that the doctor is running some kind of experiment on animals and people and you are his next subject! Can you figure out what's going on and escape before it's too late?
Gather up to 6 people and play as one team that tries to solve the puzzles or try the "Versus" mode, where each player is locked alone and tries to escape the room before the others do!
The game supports full roomscale/standing tracking with motion controllers on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
VR is not necessary, you can play with a Desktop using keyboard & mouse / gamepad.

very short escape room experience that you can finish in as little as ten minutes2 found this helpful
Unique. Not scary. There is no clear direction with the puzzles. It's definitely detail-oriented, you need to pay attention to the small things. The lighting in the game sucks so it really is hard to see in some of the rooms, I know that's the point in one of them but the one with the bodies was to dim. I am lucky I had a partner who could see because on my PC I couldn't see anything. This isn't something I would play alone as the puzzles are pretty difficult and the unique perspectives of team mates really helps push you through. Also some of the things got bugged, like the mirror, so only my gf could see the code that popped up. Over all though it was a decent game. It's not something a newbie to puzzle rooms should play.1 found this helpful
Sadly the game is very buggy. Items often glitch through the floor and some items that are required for puzzles do not spawn at all. We were missing a book in the last room of our playthrough that never spawned.
could be better, i wasnt impressed by this one as much as i hoped to be honest
Choice of game controls using grip button for teleport and trigger to pick up items feels weird. This combined with teleport glitches - able to teleport into walls and through doors made this pretty much unplayable in VR mode.
was able to solve one puzzle with a missing piece, which cause me to missed other needed items, another puzzle needed an item that just didn't appear causing me to waste too much time trying to figure it out. Just like their previous games, it's too dark, too clunky and just an overall pain in the ass to play
