I have played QuiVR, Elven Assassin, the Lab (archery game), Deadly Hunter, and Twisted Arrow (I'm not including games that are not solely focused on Bow and arrow, such as Raw Data). Out of all those archery games in VR, I had the most fun playing this game. Not only are the graphics better in this game, but the gameplay is satisfying and challenging, without it being too frustrating. Each level brings a higher difficulty and a new challenge. I especially like how there's no teleporting around. It just makes more sense. If you're defending place, you usually pick the best spot to shoot arrows and stay there. Yeah, I wish you could move at least a little, but it's better than teleporting all around the map. I'm not going to write here about the physics or whether the bow and arrow is realistic, because I have never tried to hit moving targets with a bow and arrow. The most I have done is mess around and try to hit a standing target at ground level. I can tell you that the physics are predictable. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little bit more feedback on the controller to tell when the arrow was pulled as far as it can go. You mostly just get that from e…

Can’t recommend in its current state, for Vive. I have done real archery, played and enjoyed several VR archery titles. For some reason the virtual arrow is frustratingly difficult to nock, and disconnects easily as though my fingers pulled right through the string or my hand pulled away. Elven Assassin is an example where once you nock, the string position is locked to your finger until you release. Similarly, the arrow angle looks and feels more natural when it sticks out from between your fingers like a cigarette rather than in line with fingers. The virtual hands and arms are not lined up at all with actual hands, fortunately can be hidden. Suggest omitting arms or wrists. Shooting between the menu letters fails. Pressing the controller menu button does not pause or bring up a menu. The level map cuts through my body around waist level, breaking immersion. Skill tree is a bit vague and not a progressively earned achievement. Verbal combo announcements quickly become annoying and don’t appear to be optional. Not sure why an archer would ever chose to stand alone in front of a gate rather than from atop a wall. A ground perspective could be logical from behind a line of soldiers…

I'm very, very late to PCVR and clearly bow mechanics and graphics have leaped forward since this game. I was really hoping to avoid buying a pricier archery game, but the mechanics here are seriously lacking and the foes and voice work are repetitive and monotonous. I can't make arrows go where I want, even with the assist line. Too frustrating.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I let curiosity get the better of me and I purchased this game believing that it could be as good or even better than other VR archery games I have played. NOPE. In fact, this is probably the worst VR archery game I have played for one main reason and that is putting the arrow and bow together is not smooth at all. Putting the arrow and bow together in this game is an absolutely awful experience with it sometimes taking three to four attempts before it finally works. I even tried switching from the Index controllers to the Vive controllers with the same result. It becomes extremely frustrating messing with the arrow/bow mechanic while getting quickly overrun by enemies, especially in some levels where you are placed way too close to the action. Boss levels were not even a possibility with such an awful time trying to put the arrow and bow together. You also cannot move at all in this game. There is not even node teleportation. And you must restart the entire level if even one enemy enters your door. I also experienced some random frame rate drops with no way to change any graphic options. I would much rather play other VR archery games such as I…

Enjoyable game, not super long and hope new content is added. For an archery game, I like the fact that you do have to move to a degree to avoid attacks and that you are not just stationary all the time.
