✦ AI summary
Step into an OSS agent's boots across a gripping WWII campaign featuring sabotage missions, historic battles on land and sea, and dynamic environmental combat that demands more than just good aim. This VR experience immerses you in authentic wartime scenarios with award-winning historical films and challenging combat training, making you live history rather than watch it.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an action-packed, immersive VR experience set in World War II, where you step into the boots of an agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in war-torn Europe. A deep single-player campaign bursting with authentic detail takes you through historic events on land, air, and sea, sabotaging Nazi bases, subverting enemy plans, aiding the French Resistance, and partaking in the biggest moments of the war.
In addition to the rich narrative campaign, you'll be able to hone your skills in challenging combat exercises and go deeper into the history with award-winning short films created just for the game.
You'll need more than good aim to succeed in your mission. Use anything in the world as cover, throw back enemy grenades, swim from sinking ships, and dive out of burning airplanes. You'll have to stay on your toes if you want to make it out alive. You're not watching history, you're experiencing it, like never before.

the most fun with 20 dollars ive ever spent this game is awsome i felt like indiana jones when i took down a german train all with only a pistol in my hand shooting is very accurate and game is super fun1 found this helpful
As good as the campaign is, its 180gb+ and £35 for less then half the orignal game. multiplayers been shut down but not removed, so all the game really is is a campaign that doesnt merit the space it takes up on your pc. Im conflicted as to wether or not to give this a good or bad rating honestly cuz the campaign was good but thats literally it.1 found this helpful
I love replaying this game at least once a year. The missions are varied with many interesting locations, and the medium of VR gets utilized to its maximum with missions taking place on tanks, planes, boats, and even a U-Boat. Story is nothing to write home about but the settings and atmosphere really make it up for me. I love stopping to take in the scenery every once in a while. My only real complaint of this game would be the fact that shooting 2-handed weapons is a bit clunky. Overall, I'd give it a 8/10
TL;DR Gameplay is fine and fun, the game has its moments but the characters and the dialogue sucks. Been a fan since dad brought back Medal of Honor Frontline and Rising Sun home, much prefer this series to old Call of Duty titles, probably because of the nostalgia but thats not the point here. I wish I could give a mixed review since its neither bad or great, its just mixed. The gameplay is fun, you basically get to play a MoH game, in VR which is so so so cool. But the story, the characters feel just so forced, especially Ollie. The dialogue is also so on the nose, its funny at first but then it gets to a point you are just annoyed by it, its corny, its cringe, its not fun. The game also runs funky but that could be a me problem not a game problem.
doesn't look as good as the pics and you have to be in someone's face before you can hit them without wasting all your ammo
Story isn't anything notable and there is the typical VR jank but other than that, the game single player was pretty fun... played it on the valve index and i loved it. "These Rusty Nails"
