Memorise'n'run is a short, affordable arcade game that blends memory matching with bullet hell mechanics in a creative and addictive way, with minimalist presentation that works well for the concept. However, achievements have been broken since late 2020, deterring completion-focused players, and some of the later stages can be frustratingly stressful and unfair, particularly for those sensitive to sensory overload. Despite these issues, players appreciate it as a fun, accessible entry point to the bullet hell genre at its low price point.
Pretty easy and fast to finish, unfortunately achievements unlocking is bugged. Honestly, should be a free game in my opinion with "buy a coffee / donation option".1 found this helpful
The game is pretty simple, being only a series of stages that mix of memory match and bullet hell, and with stages and music being very minimalistic. But it works out pretty well, in my opinion. Two things to note, however: 1) Achievement hunters may want to stay away from the game, since achievements' been broken since late 2020. Maybe downloading an older update through Steam's official depot_downloader tool can help, but I haven't tried. 2) The game can be pretty stressful for people susceptible to sensory overload, as the stages happen in confined areas and you're under fire at all times while trying to match tiles. Stages 6-5 and the last one, 10-5, can be pretty BS about it. But overall, I recommend, but keeping in mind the two observations above.1 found this helpful
Memorise’n’run, developed and published by JOZGamer, is a small but conceptually ambitious arcade-style title that merges two very different types of challenge into a single, demanding loop: fast-paced bullet dodging and short-term memory recall. At a glance, it resembles a minimalist shooter where survival depends on navigating dense patterns of incoming hazards, but it quickly introduces a second layer that transforms the experience into something far more mentally taxing. Instead of relying purely on reflexes, the game asks you to remember sequences and patterns while under constant pressure, creating a hybrid design that feels both inventive and unforgiving. The core gameplay revolves around this dual focus. Players are periodically shown sets of cards or symbols that must be memorized, then later identified or matched correctly while simultaneously dodging waves of projectiles. This creates a constant tug-of-war for attention, forcing you to divide your focus between recalling information and reacting to immediate threats. The tension comes not from either mechanic alone, but from how they overlap—moments that might otherwise feel manageable become stressful when you are tryi…
The game is pretty simple, with stages that combine memory match and bullet hell mechanics. The stages and music are minimalistic, but it works out surprisingly well. Overall, I recommend it!
This game is super fun ! It is full of content based on it's premise. It's addictive
The game is a little on the easy side, but good for people who are just getting into bullet hell. Therefore it's also not very long, but it's also cheap so that makes perfect sense. Lovely little game all in all. I'll give the positive review when I get my achievements cuz I completed everything!
