I had not played this in a while and decided to revisit it. Unfortunately I read in the comments the developers of this game are racist. I investigated and can confirm they are indeed BASED.

OLDTV is a compact but remarkably distinctive indie game that proves a strong central idea does not need layers of complicated mechanics to become compelling. Developed and published by Creability, the game was released in 2017 as a free-to-play experience built around rapid perception, concentration, and reaction speed. OLDTV is a free puzzle game based around the Stroop test, where we have to quickly decide whether a word matches the colour it is shown in. The idea is really simple, but the game keeps speeding things up and adding distractions until even a basic question becomes surprisingly difficult. The best thing about OLDTV is how quickly it gets into our head. At the beginning we can play without much trouble, but once the pace increases we have to think twice before pressing anything. It sounds easy until the game starts giving us almost no time to react. The different effects are what stop it from feeling like the same test over and over. The screen can change, the controls can become confusing and there are different ways the game tries to mess with our concentration. It does a good job of making a simple mechanic much harder without needing complicated rules. The presentation also fits really well. The old television look, flashing colours and strange visual effects give the game a weird atmosphere. The soundtrack is another big part of it and makes the faster sections feel even more intense.
