About Milky Way Prince – The Vampire Star
A visual novel about an abusive relationship, idealization, and intimacy.

Live a summer of dysfunctional love through branching storylines, twists, sudden changes, and a special mechanic where you choose which senses to use with your boyfriend. In these moments, you will learn about him, his personality, and his past, making you question everything.

Milky Way Prince is entirely designed, programmed, illustrated, and scored by a very young author, Lorenzo Redaelli. The story itself is partially autobiographical.

"During my experience with a borderline partner, I thought that falling in love with him was like becoming part of a binary star system. It’s the rarest, most precious thing in the universe – but the closer they get the more unstable they become. My idea was to create an immersive experience where the player is asked to try to understand the dynamics of this unusual relationship. The character you interact with adapts their behavior to yours – using academic terminology, they could set up “rage tests”, “love bombing", or otherwise guilt trip you. The plot's branching storyline is guided by variables such as “submission” and "interest” that fluctuate at each interaction."

Milky Way Prince – The Vampire Star is an emotionally intense visual novel that explores toxic love, emotional dependency, psychological instability, and the painful complexity of abusive relationships through a deeply personal and artistic narrative. Rather than presenting romance as comforting escapism or idealized fantasy, the game focuses on the darker emotional realities of obsession, manipulation, loneliness, and self-destruction. The experience is often uncomfortable, emotionally exhausting, and deliberately intimate, creating a narrative that feels more like a confessional emotional art piece than a traditional visual novel. The story follows Nuki, a lonely and emotionally vulnerable young man fascinated by astronomy and fantasy, who becomes involved with Sune, a charismatic but deeply unstable individual carrying severe emotional trauma and destructive behavior patterns. Their relationship begins with intense attraction and emotional fascination, but gradually transforms into something increasingly unhealthy and psychologically damaging. What makes the story particularly effective is that the game never romanticizes this deterioration. Instead, it carefully shows how emot…3 found this helpful

I picked a game at random from my library to play. I should have looked at the store page. I don't know where I got this. I was bored. And then I hard Alt-F4'd for the gay sex scene.1 found this helpful
The point-and-click elements added to the story in an interesting way. I was sometimes confused (which wasn't a bad thing). This depicted an abusive relationship and dysfunctional love well. The art really added to the experience too.1 found this helpful
I bought this game because I played Mediterranea Inferno and that game was PEAK! But... it was literally peak, since this previous attempt at a similar mood is really lacking. I want to support the author but to anyone wondering if they should buy/play this game, my advice would be: play Mediterranea Inferno first!
