The game is great, but the jumpscares should have been less. It was a bit to many after eachother in this, you jumped mostly since they were loud as hell not because they were scary. You can tell this game is inspired by Amenti With next game being made less jumpscares and you are on a good path! I still recommend this game, for the price the game is not bad, short but not to bad1 found this helpful
i dont usually rate horror indie games due thier lack of originality but this one has an original setting with above average story to tell BUT the music choices here .. OH man .. although they were breaking the intensity of the game BUT OMG they were magical .. i would buy the game just for them Pros : 1- setting and graphics 2- MUSIC 3- Voice acting of some characters done well here Cons : 1- very cheap jumpscares 2- optimization very bad 3- nothing is taken from other games " No AI slop " generally speaking i would recommended this game if u already know what ur getting ur self into and would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to check the good tracks here waiting for similar projects since thier first game was ok at best " Absum "1 found this helpful
Okay so after playing "Absum"... and then moving on to "Mitnal" I can say MixoNat is improving at a great pace as far as being a video game developer. I do feel that the stories created in each game could hold even more depth than given in the game... and that could be fleshed out with a longer installment of these types of games. One where the story doesn't feel pressed together between other short stories in a book... but a novel all it's own. The overall visual landscape of this game was very impressive compared to "Absum"... and the fact that it takes us to a place most horror games don't go was very refreshing. I would've altered the ending slightly "personally"... but that's a subjective choice that has no impact on my review of this game. MixoNat has proven with this game... that they're not just out here trying to make quick "cash grab" horror titles... but games with substance.1 found this helpful
Wait for sale.... Can't recommend at full price. ok game with decent graphics and awesome Mayan and Aztek style art and sculptures which is basically the selling point of the game. Not very scary, a couple really cheap jump scares, no real threat other than your own imagination of what could happen and its VERY VERY short. I didnt realize I would be done playing it in under an hour.. Its not the worst thing ive ever played but also nothing special. For full price at 5 dollars you could get something else on sale and have hours more game to play.1 found this helpful
Very nice short game! Beautiful atmosphere amazing detail in the buildings and carvings cool little lore well explained. Jump scare horror for sure but they are spaced out and planned well enough that you get scared every time.
pretty short exploration with some spooky jump scares though visually dense detail in some areas the sense of exploration felt more interesting than the spooky nature of it the poop toucher achievement was bugged which is funny in a kind of meta way
