Finally! This was actually the first game I ever purchased myself back in the day. I dreamed of it as a kid before I even got it, and it kept me hooked back then for a long time. It is a simple but enjoyable economic "simulator" with aspects added, like marrying, getting elected into offices and the like. It's the predecessor to "The Gulid", but with al lot more subtle "character" added in. The game does not take itself seriously, and at least in the German version, you can even hear the irony in some of the voice acting. It is a gem from a time past, and games like these are not made anymore, with great love to detail and without bugs from the start. With some aspects, you habe to get the hang of it, like the battles, where you do not control units directly, but give them orders separately and watch them do their stuff. But it is very satisfying to have that counterpart player finally loose his job at court because of you blackmailing the judge. It was great back in the day, and still is very solid and sometimes cute today. Going back 30 years in time and feeling the thrill like a schoolboy coming home to capture yet another mercenary fortress in order to better guard your value…5 found this helpful

I still own the original Fugger II. This was a must buy for me. I spend so many days and nights playing this game with my sister and friends. A must buy for anyone who likes old school economic simulation games. Important Information: The mission cards are available as pdf files in the game folder.3 found this helpful
Mittelland AD is a historical strategy and economic simulation developed and published by BKM that focuses on commerce, influence, and long-term planning rather than warfare or direct conquest. Set within the Principality of Mittelland beginning in the early seventeenth century, the game places players into a competitive environment where success is built through business expansion, social standing, political influence, and intelligent management decisions. Instead of rewarding quick victories or aggressive expansion, it creates an experience where patience, calculated risk-taking, and strategic thinking become the true foundations of progress. The central goal revolves around building a family dynasty capable of rising from modest beginnings toward wealth and influence. Players begin with limited resources and gradually work toward establishing a respected position within society. Money serves as an important tool, but financial success alone does not guarantee dominance. Reputation, political leverage, and long-term planning become equally valuable. The game constantly encourages players to think beyond immediate profits and instead focus on creating something capable of lasting…2 found this helpful
