You may prefer the quick slices of the Chainsword for large hordes of enemies while reserving the devastating blows of the Power Hammer for boss fights. Test your resolve with a myriad of environmental and logic puzzles. In a world devoid of sense and reason, you’ll have to stoop to your lowest if it means moving forward. Solve puzzles by drinking blood, forcing regurgitation, and digging through viscera. Fun.

Players appreciate Moroi's unusual atmosphere, creative world design, and twisted characters, but the game is consistently criticized for its clunky combat system, stiff and unresponsive controls, and various technical issues including bugs that can block progression. The ambitious mix of genres (Souls-like, Metroidvania, hack-and-slash) feels unfocused, and design problems like enemies spawning directly on the player detract from the experience, though some players find the weird aesthetic compelling enough to overlook these flaws.

Great game if you like twisted and weird stories. Two best things about this game is story and level and characters design. Not sure if it's just for me but sometimes like bossfights there were no soundtrack (but weapon and enemy sounds were present). It feels it's indie game not fully polished, there are some typos and combat isn't especially deep. But if you want to experience something fresh and unusual, it's the game for you:))1 found this helpful
Moroi wants to be a dark fantasy, hack-and-slash, Souls-like, Metroidvania-esque puzzle game all at once. Because Moroi tries to do so many different things, it consequently doesn’t do any of those things well at all. It's also really janky and full of bugs, gratuitous gore, and very dark humor. Game started off a little odd, but that is what its supposed to be. The controls seem find. Left stick moves, right stick points in direction and you attack. You enter rooms and fight waves of enemies coming for you. What I hated the most, they will spawn right on you. So setting up a simple encounter waiting to defend yourself, you get hit from the back because dude spawned. That killed the fun for me.
Would have loved to play this game but unfortunately there were some bugs i encountered which made it impossible to progress. The world seems insanely well made and very creative and that was what initially made me interested in this game but the dev seems to have gone MIA.
The most psychedelic game I run on Steam Deck. Controls are a bit stiff. Could be more responsive. I like it though.
