This is a very poorly designed game. It has ideas and gimmicks, but the design is just bad—no getting around it. The basic stuff isn't well executed.Floaty movement where you cannot line up properly half the time with enemies. A lot of the enemy difficulty is just them sliding up behind you (they seem programmed to do this) and hitting you with no "get off me" defense. It puts you in an endless loop. Many attacks can come from off-screen with no warning, including one-shot shotgun kills. The mechanic of collecting fuel for offense/health is largely TOTALLY POINTLESS because some designer thought it would be a good idea to make it prolonged rather than instant. 90% of the time it's just not worth bothering—bad design. A barrage of cutscenes. You can hit start to skip them, but you’ll be forced to do this over and over and over. It completely misses the point of arcade games. Hitboxes are all over the place. It promotes cheap play above all else. Sliding punches or jumping kicks will beat practically everything—poor design. No proper visual cues or fluid visual design. Great high energy soundtrack, which is the reason I wound up on this page ~ I wanted the sound track but it looks like I needed to have bought the dealers edition for that. :steamsad:/ As far as the story, its out there and still both entertaining and interesting. Definitely with adult themes, not a tactical beat em up for babies :lernie: As far as the gameplay, the controls are pretty tight: demonstrated best in sequences when you are actually able catch a throw weapon. The line up of available moves is limited, but mostly and-yet-incredibly well crafted to keep fighting interesting. Bosses get their own unique and fun mechanic (The final boss is NOT fun *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥*). Just playing through this game once is worth the price of admission, even on easy with friends (co-op is great too, up to 4 players local & remote play together). But the skill ceiling goes high too, well over my head. Then there is the arena levels that unlock different power ups, the skill you trigger for filling a special meter (drugs). You show off your face smashing a large number of enemies. If you find this game under $5, grab it, you should know in much less than 20 min (let alone the steam 2 hour…

absolutely marvelous, but oh my god can it get grueling if you don't have a friend to play with.

I dislike the perspective/lane? mechanics

This was one of my first purchases on steam, It's a very solid game with an amazing story and soundtrack! I highly recommend if you're fan of beat-em-ups. Boris is the best character, you cant change my mind!

If you're a fan of the iconic Streets of Rage series you have to try this game! Commie serum-zombie side scrolling gory mayhem ... like the 90's SoR games there's a pulsing soundtrack, hilarious weapons galore (throw toilets!), and loads of entertaining characters and bosses to beat up. Best £1.60 I've ever spent in my life
