In this game you play as Doctor Davis and Nurse Alex, who are both in training. You switch between these characters and the game tells you which one you have to control. It's clearly designed for a younger audience, but there is no real voice acting. The characters speak gibberish, so the player has to be able to read well. The game follows a story, spanning multiple days working in the hospital. Your character creation is very limited and you will come across colleagues and patients looking (almost) the same. The hospital looks and feels very empty. The game follows a schedule of dialogue, moving your character to a room and then a minigame. The minigames are short and the game is goofy and not very realistic. The nurse and doctor have their own different mini-games and tasks they have to do. The surgery minigame (doctor) might look a bit scary for a child. When you are an operating assistant (nurse) you have to hand over the requested tool. This includes a squeeky chicken toy, which you usually find in the pet store for dogs. There is a rating based on how well you did the minigame, but it's unclear how this is judged exactly. Sometimes it doesn't seem to make sense. You get X…

The hospital looks nice, which provides a bit of entertainment for maybe 10 minutes. The dialogues suck, I actually groaned while reading through some of them. The gameplay has two parts. Super trivial mini-games and following a direction arrow through the hospital. Neither felt rewarding. The highlights for me were the rubber duck as a surgery instrument and how the people crossing your path while walking through the hospital makes it feel kinda lively... To round the experience off there are a bunch of visual bugs. When Alex runs around with a cup, the cup is invisible more often than not. The pharmacy game worked correctly only twice for me during a full playthrough. The other times the scales did not display progress so you had to mix ingredients blind. To end on a positive note, you can run through the hospital by pressing the left SHIFT key. It is noticably faster than walking. So yeah, not recommended. Unless you can't think straight but feel that watching TV is not interactive enough, I guess.

The game follows a simple story line for leveling up your doctor and nurse and on the way you are doing different medical checks and unlock new rooms in the clinic. It has simple mini-games and a few glitched here and there but nothing major. It is worth on sale just like the other My Universe titles.

Straight up - the game is bad. SO bad. But… I recommend it if you work in healthcare because the stupidity of the game is hilarious, and I find myself laughing at the ridiculousness of the gameplay/dialogue, diagnoses, treatments, etc. So if it’s on sale for $2, it might be worth it as to offer you a laugh or two. Tl;dr ~ Only buy/play this for the meme of it.
