After the years of using a great style and real actors, they just threw the true sole of myst away. Most of the Myst games are too confusing and annoying for me, but i really loved the true soul of the games, with the actors, the ages and the books. But for some reason now there is and alien species for some reason. It pretty much destoys the whole concept Myst had. But they held true to their confusing and annoying foundation. I didnt play it through due to that. I cant recommend it.1 found this helpful
I kinda loved [i]Myst V[/i], in spite of its rough edges, until I fell victim to a known, game-breaking bug. It seems I could reload and make up for an hour or so of lost progress, saving frequently in case the issue happens again, but y'know what? Nah. I'm good. [i]Myst[/i] is a masterpiece. [i]Obduction[/i] is proof that it wasn't a fluke. I'd love to play another game on their level someday, but the [i]Myst[/i] sequels have done nothing but break my heart.1 found this helpful
Great adventure game where I don't have to interact with other online players.
Biggest excuse for a puzzle game in the history of mankind. Why is it named Myst is beyond me. MSPaint is far better, save your money and time.
The last episode of the strictly-named Myst series, and...maybe the least one! But it opens very decently the way to the Uru games, those set down a more present-day continuation of the Myst lore. The ending has not been written, yet! Myst V embarks you in a smooth adventure through always dreamlike worlds, where your brain will be decently challenged, of course. High-quality everywhere, story included, but I struggle to cherish this episode as the others Mysts or Urus. Might be less emotionally-charged and original than the other games. A must-have though, if you plan to discover Uru Complete Chronicles.
I was expecting something horrible after Myst IV, but it turned out to be pretty well made. There's a new feature where you draw on a tablet. You'd think it would work horribly, but it works for the most part. The worlds tell their own story and the puzzles all make sense. I guess it's time for Obduction.
