[mild spoilers] bugged in many ways. After many years of the game's release it still has lots of bugs. Most of the negative reviews talk about the ending not being accessible. But in my case I didn't even get to finish the game. Half way through the game at the garden part, when I did the flowers in the book puzzle the game froze for a brief moment and then the book appeared again and it won't go away (even if the scene behind it looked like it had changed??), making the game impossible to finish unless I restart the whole thing ig.2 found this helpful

Mystery Castle: The Mirror's Secret developed by Meridian'93 and published by Fulqrum Publishing is a hidden-object puzzle adventure set within a cursed medieval castle steeped in dark magic and lingering spirits. Built around a classic rescue premise, the story follows a desperate parent searching for their kidnapped daughter, Jessica, who has fallen into the clutches of a malevolent entity known as Groth, the Soul Reaver. The journey unfolds room by room within the castle’s shadowed halls, combining environmental exploration with a steady stream of object-based challenges. The structure of the game adheres closely to traditional hidden-object design. Each room functions as a self-contained challenge filled with scattered items, interactive objects, and puzzle mechanisms. Progression is linear, requiring players to complete objectives within one location before unlocking the next. This design ensures clarity and accessibility, making it approachable for newcomers to the genre. The pacing moves deliberately, allowing players to thoroughly inspect each scene and piece together clues tied to the overarching narrative. Hidden-object segments form the backbone of the gameplay. Nice and short. Mostly finding hidden objects. Very easy difficulty. Presentation is very nice and perfect for when you need a couple hours of chill.
A good game based upon a linear progression of tasks in a wide variety of themes.
Not the hardest of HO games, quick to initially complete, but needs more than one play through to get everything. All in all, not a the worst way to spend a few hours
