Some more old school titles from Namco. It's similar to volume 1 with these NES ports, but I enjoyed it. Legacy of the Wizard was the highlight for me as I remember playing that one as a kid. 🙂6 found this helpful
I hope whoever made the controls for NES Pac-Land got fired, re-hired somewhere else, then fired again.2 found this helpful
Just the NES games with a really poor emulator. Skip this one.1 found this helpful
need more of the nintendo games of my youth! also the xevious games are cool, but not as cool as the arcade one was, i miss the upgrades
As I said with Volume 1 - This is a great collection of classics. These are 8-bit NES versions of the games and not the arcade originals, just so people know before diving in. While I find this volume to be weaker than the first, it is still full of enjoyable titles that are worth owning if you're a collector of games with historical significance. There's a lot of bang for your buck here (especially if grabbed during a sale).
This is worth buying for Legacy of the Wizard alone, which is easily one of the best games ever made. Besides that, you get 10 (ish?) other NES games from the greatest era of gaming history. The port itself is slick and one of the nicest retro game collections I have ever played. Just buy it already.
