Nothing Strange Here

Fun game very reminiscent of Gravity Falls as another reviewer already pointed out. Lovely cute art style with genuinely funny and quirky dialogue. My favorite part was just finding all the little stories and events going on throughout the map as I was exploring and making my way through the story. Would love to see more games in the future from these developers.

Solid bite sized game! Had great fun exploring the town and all its little secrets and hidden doodads. Usually my main gripe with this style of open world games is that traversal becomes annoying and the surroundings become boring and mundane. This game however manages to cram a lot of fun stuff to explore and find into a town that is just the right size. Going to the other side of the town doesn't feel cumbersone and almost no nook and cranny feels pointless nor empty! The quests and story are nothing major nor life changing, however are easily digestible and help the player explore all that the town has to offer while completing them. I found the most fun parts were usually taking a picture for the final part of the news paper mainly because I usually took the most unserious and dumb pictures! My only complaint which really isn't anything major is that given how heavily the game focuses on taking a picture of almost everything, especially more whacky stuff for the sticker hunt, other stuff that seem significant do not surmount to anything if you take a picture of it (such as [spoiler]the kitty creature at the other side of the waterfall near the top of the mountain or th…

I really enjoyed this game! You can only get photos of certain things at certain times and I realized too late, that your choices may stop you from getting certain stickers. Choose wisely! I completed the game in 4 hours and I kind of want to play it again so I could 100% it AND so I can make different choices.

I love the cute art style along with the freedom you are given to explore in this game! It's such a fun experience, and for such cheap price I think it's more than worth it. My favourite aspect so far is filling the sticker book, but I am also very excited to find out what potential strange things may take place there...

Really enjoyed this, super charming. The strongest part of the game is the exploration, and not so much the story (but even then, there is a cool mystery to uncover). Mostly, you run around and take pictures, which can sometimes give you stickers or unlock the ability to write an article when they're related to a side quest. The world is gorgeous and full of little details that make it super fun to explore. However, a few issues: - On my first playthrough, I encountered a bug that rendered a side quest uncompletable. I know the devs are aware and working on figuring out the reason and fixing it, just putting it out there because it did have me running around looking for something that just wasn't there. - The map is limited by barriers that prevent you from going places until you progress the story, which is all fine and good... until I got to the end and some of them remained. I was really excited to see it through and find some more lore or even a whacky sight... Maybe it's related to some other intriguing stuff that's there, and I just haven't figured out how to get past them.

I love how charmingly weird this game is! There is so much to see and explore without beeing overwhelming, the villagers all have at least a little bit to say, which makes the world feel more alive and the environment reacts to the articles you choose to write, which I enjoyed. It is not super long, but it didn't feel like it was super short either. My oinly cons: The mechanic that one has to actively select the finished quests to write an article about it is not quite clear and the ending ist a little abrupt (am I done? Is there something more? I think thats it?)
