About Odyssey: The Deep Space Expedition

Duration: Around 25 minutes of action-packed gameplay, plus free exploration in the lobby.Type: Interactive musical space adventure.Good to know: A narrative-driven space game with an immersive story.
Introduction

Odyssey is a story-driven space adventure for solo and multiplayer. Search for a new home for humanity while protecting your exploration ship. Scientists onboard carry Earth's last hope—its biodiversity. The fate of life itself is in your hands.

Step into the role of an explorer and take on various tasks aboard a spaceship, all set to an uplifting musical soundscape. Navigate asteroid fields, locate and use essential tools, and protect your ship from cosmic dangers. At the end of each session, review your performance and improve your personal or social score by playing again. This multi-modal experience blends gameplay with learning, featuring a voice-acted narrative and vibrant audio to share fascinating facts about space.

Up to three explorers can embark on a journey through a post-apocalyptic universe, where Earth is no longer habitable. As a crew member aboard a massive space station, you join a team of scientists searching for a new home. The station houses isolated ecosystem bubbles, preserving Earth's last surviving plants and animals. Your mission: protect these fragile ecosystems and uncover the answers that could save humanity. The future is in your hands.

ControlsThe experience is playable on both a standard PC monitor and in Virtual Reality (tested with Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, and HTC Vive). An in-game option allows you to switch between the two modes seamlessly. For the best experience, headphones are highly recommended, as the game features a rich, bass-heavy musical soundscape. While fully functional in both modes, movement controls and user interactions may vary slightly between standard and VR gameplay.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
I have no idea how this "game" got this many positive reviews, but as you can see, the majority of them received a free Steam key. I actually got this game in a VR bundle so I guess I only paid about .50 cents for it and that's just about how much it is worth. No, it's not even worth that. If this were free, I might give it a 5/10 score. However, as a paid product that used to go for $13.99 USD, but now has lowered it's price to $4.99 USD, they need to go towards .99 cents. $5 USD is too much for this low quality product. This game is outdated. It makes the Unity Engine look really bad. Teleport only. For some reason, it only works with the left hand to teleport. For the most part, it's nodal teleportation, but there are very small areas where you can teleport freely where you'd like. There is no smooth or snap turning. The VOs are some of the worst I have ever heard. It sounds like they are recording on the mic from the original Oculus Rift. The visuals are almost as bad, with PS2 era graphics and bland environments. The scales also seem off. Interactions are absolutely atrocious. The gameplay consists of being told some emergency is…

It's OK, but it needs a lot of polishing. I didn't find how to change resolution. I didn't understand how to run. Level design is terrible. There are vast useless empty rooms, but you can teleport instantly. Even free Moonbase Alpha NASA game from 2010 was way better.

Seriously? This is even called a game? Cant chose what to do really. Without VR cant even exit gun station. All I do is shoot asteroids? I would be furious if I would pay more than £1 for it.

As a person who only plays single player games I can say with all honesty that the single player mode is a guaranteed loser it is not fun at all losing every game and staying on the same level, for those who play multi player it might be better but even then maybe not, I cannot recommend this game, it needs work.
