About Of Mice and Moggies

Of Mice and Moggies is a smart puzzle game, where you play as a cat and try catch mice, rabbits and friends. They aren't caught easily, so you have to constantly figure out new ways to trap them, or play them out against each other. If you want to catch a rabbit, you have to think like a rabbit!

The levels can only be solved by being smart, but don't overwhelm you with a huge numbers of moving parts.
You can build your own levels with the ingame level editor. The levels can be uploaded and made available for other players to enjoy, just like you can play the levels other people made.

You can expect

  • a theme park like campaign with over 100 challenging levels
  • an ingame editor to create and share your own levels
  • to play interesting community levels, made by other players
  • relaxation with the extensive nature ambience
  • a cat license showcasing your proficiency with medals
  • minigames!

A really good Sokoban-like game, with some mechanics that are both innovative and well-applied. The level design is top-tier: no two levels feel the same; each one presents a refreshingly new idea in an interesting way. Furthermore, they are as minimalist as they can get, with no boring work to be done by the player. The game is appropriately challenging and gets quite difficult if you want to beat it with minimum steps (which I utterly recommend you to try!). Of Mice and Moggies is a true hidden gem for puzzle-lovers. It deserves way more recognition and is worthy the full price.

Beautiful puzzle game with a nice clash of cute animals and brutal hunting animations. The game rewards you for finding the best solution with a gold icon but otherwise doesn't lock you out from progressing if you just want to move on. Does a great job of mixing in new mechanics. Completed all but one puzzle (damn you Stonehenge 4). This should be way more popular than it is.

Really solid tile-based puzzle game where you need to capture rats as a cat by either sneaking up on them or cornering them. Because the rats react when they see you’re next to them, the puzzle is interacting with what types of tiles and obstacles the level gives you to make sure they can be cornered in the first place and don’t escape. Only a few hours long and doesn’t run out of ideas.

Insanely polished, it always introduces new mechanics before the previous ones get old. great game, tons of variety.

Game never saved my data. Ever. All data is lost when restarting the game. Name entry also doesn’t work, it’s always a blank string. Almost impressive honestly

Quick Description: -Of Mice and Moggies is a sokoban style puzzle game where your goal is to trap animals. It's a very cute and engaging puzzler that offers a good amount of mechanics and challenging levels. Every animal reacts differently to you approaching them. Some of my favorite puzzles will involve 3 or 4 different animal types. There usually appears to be a simple solution, but often it's a red herring as you realize you need to keep an animal around to help trap a different animal. Most of the puzzles are on the easy to moderate difficulty, w/ a small percentage of the levels being of higher difficulty. There is also 3 different Side Games that you can unlock that have leaderboards. Consensus: -Solid Game (Tier 3 and makes up 35% of my reviews). I really enjoyed my time w/ Of Mice and Moggies. It took me about 5 hrs to complete 100% of the game. I think that's great value for a $7 game that goes on sale several times a year. Headlong Hunt and Mooselutions are probably the two closest puzzle games on the market. Fans of cute, fun, and innovative puzzlers are in for a treat. Pick up this hidden gem and have a great time!
