About On Earth As It Is In Heaven - A Kinetic Novel
Within the flower of happiness, the seeds of tragedy.
The sky is blue and the sun is shining and the green leaves are rustling in the cool breeze. It’s a perfect day. Such a perfect day, no one would have guessed that gas has been leaking in the power station since midnight, and the situation there had long deteriorated beyond critical.
Sencil is a scribe in heaven that works for the God of Calamities. However, as he is kind of heart, he has repeatedly lowered or completely negated the casualties of disasters ordered by the God of Calamities.
He is finally caught and banished to the mortal realm - To be exact, Laguna de Duero, Valladolid in Spain. However, he is helped by the kind Montero family that owns a meat and sausage shop.
A kinetic novel that has about 3 hours worth of immersive writing and reading brought to you by the writers of A More Beautiful World, When Our Journey Ends and more!

Very short, quite sweet, but there was no real choices or interactivity in the game. There was only a couple of CC arts and those were also not very special. No fast/skip mode whatsoever and the story started to drag on at certain points. I recommend this if you get it for a few euros or so, but its definitely not worth the amount it is sold for currently.10 found this helpful
TL;DR: It has some problems, but if you can look past them, you like VNs, and the story sounds intriguing, give it a shot. Pros

Good story and good writing, sometimes rather colorful. Funny at times, heartbreaking at others. Some plot points you can see coming a mile away with the brightness of an atom bomb, but it's still very enjoyable. I don't regret the read at all.
The artwork is rather pretty.
The music is nice too.
Cons

Typos, missing words, and grammar and punctuation issues. It's not every sentence and it's not too bad, but it is noticeable.
Problems with characters on screen. This might be the most annoying problem with the game. People will come in and be added to the story scene, but not show up on screen for a long time into their scene, if they show up on screen at all. Other times, people leave the scene but are still on-screen until a scene change, which can be a while later. Occasionally you'll have the situation where characters keep stacking on top of each other like a messy pancake; not all of them should be there at once.
Meh

The VN menu system leaves something …7 found this helpful
It's a visual novel. No choices. Just telling a story. There could be a lot of improvements and additions to it. But it's fine as it is.2 found this helpful
Let's start by addressing the elephant in the room. This game is definitely not worth the 16€ , has a few typos, and a few bugs here and there. But behind that is a bittersweet story of Life, Death, Love and Compassion who will keep you interested for 3 hours, while giving you insight of two historical moment of humankind. Besides, I admit it made me tear up a bit. This kinetic novel is regularly bundled, so if you have the luck to find it for sale give it a try!
This is a sweet story of a VN game that can be finished in under an hour. I really don't have a lot to say about this short All-Ages Visual Novel game.
I wasn't sure I would enjoy this VN based on the reviews. Maybe it's because I went in with such low expectations that I enjoyed it. Or maybe it's just that I have low standards. (Probably both). On Earth As It Is In Heaven is a Kinetic Novel, meaning no choices are made. It's basically a picture book where the characters can blink at you. It tells the story of a heavenly scribe, life, death, and everything in between. Let me forewarn that the grammar is... sub-par. Nothing horrible, exactly, but also not something that looks like it was read over. However, I enjoyed the story itself, and that made up to it for me. While I think that the price tag of $15 is very steep for this game, it's something that would be worth picking up if you happen across it cheap or free.
