There's still daylight, I must be missing something.1 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful
The Sun Disappeared, But So Did the Enjoyment Rating: ★★☆☆☆ Review: One Day: The Sun Disappeared had the potential to be an intriguing and atmospheric experience, but unfortunately, it falls short in several aspects, leaving players with a feeling of unfulfillment. Despite the promising premise, the execution leaves much to be desired. One of the game's major drawbacks is its lackluster gameplay mechanics. The interactions and puzzles are often simplistic and uninspired, failing to provide any real challenge or engaging gameplay. Instead of offering captivating and thought-provoking puzzles, One Day opts for mundane and predictable tasks that quickly become repetitive. While the visuals initially capture the desolate atmosphere of a world without the sun, the overall graphical quality falls short of expectations. The environments lack detail and visual variety, resulting in a monotonous and uninspiring experience. The potential for stunning visuals in a sunless world is not fully realized, leaving players wanting more. The audio design, while atmospheric at times, fails to consistently deliver a captivating soundscape. The soundtrack is forgettable, and the lack of dynamic au…1 found this helpful
This is a great example of a terrible game. Everything feels clunky. The levels are repetitive with absolutely no sense of direction. It's easy to spend an hour running around in circles. What's worse is the power creep of enemies getting stronger. You'll have to replay levels to grind money to upgrade your character and gear before moving on to the next level. Enemies and bosses might all look different, but they're all just reskins. Combat is slow, and the only real damage comes from the very expensive elemental attacks. The game also mentions pets, but I was only ever aware of the one you start with that drops coins. I had to play through the game with the sound on mute. It's obnoxiously loud and blown out. Large groups of enemies attacking at the same time doesn't have a cap on how many times a sound effect can stack piercing your ear to the point of possibly going deaf. It has the same quality as some hipster driving by blasting the bass out of his car with all the windows rolled down.1 found this helpful

This is a mobile ported 2D retro platformer/brawler where you control some cartoony South Park reject looking guy and jump around pointlessly. Mobile ports don't belong on Steam, I mean, they're worse than console ports. Controls are fixed, resolution fixed, but at least it's not retro pixel graphics. That doesn't mean they graphics are good... they're awful. The gameplay is very clunky, probably due to the mobile heritage. Here's the kicker, though, the developers sends a nice big "screw you" to PC gamers by charging $1 on the Apple App store for this, but a whopping $4 on Steam. Scumbag devs treating PC gamers like second class citizens and trying to gouge. I've got a nice big thumbs down for them. Note: My card idler went nuts on this and gave me over 50 hours play time. It only takes 50 seconds to see how bad this game is.
