About Origament: A Paper Adventure

An adventure platformer where a precious letter journeys across time and continents in search of the one still waiting. Each world tells a unique story, and each quest reveals a clue to the greater secret. From a quiet moonlit garden to raging tornadoes in the Wild West - what a journey for a tiny piece of paper! And the letter? That’s you.

Origament is your escape after a long day - a lighthearted, joyful adventure where gameplay can be relaxing yet sometimes test your skills. With light puzzles, chill quests, stunning views, and a mysterious story, it’s less about the challenge and more about enjoying the journey.

Be a paper boat drifting down a quiet stream. A paper plane gliding over the rooftops of old Venice. Or a paper shuriken smashing stalactites to send your mine cart racing ahead. Some worlds feel like meditation, others like wild journeys full of excitement.

Each level opens a new era, a new place, a new mood. The challenge doesn’t come from enemies, but from the environment and its clever puzzles.

Change form to overcome obstacles. Every transformation means new physics, abilities, and vibes.

This is not about combat - it’s about curiosity, observation, and clever adaptation. The levels themselves become both your biggest challenge - and your greatest ally.

It all began in the Archive of Memory - a place of fading thoughts, unsent words, and letters that were never read.
Forgotten, but not lost, they sleep in endless drawers. Among them was one special letter. No one remembers who wrote it anymore, but inside was a strange spark. Enough for the paper to tremble… and awaken. That same night, a Time Glitch flared up - and the letter vanished from the Archive.
Not stolen - escaped.Somewhere out there, the addressee is still waiting.Time to go.

I loved this little game, I thought it was super cute and fun. its basically a linear stage based game where you progress by transforming into different kinds of origami. you can turn into a paper ball to roll across dry terrain, a paper boat to sail across rivers and lakes, a paper airplane to fly over obstacles and a paper shuriken to scare away enemies and give yourself a boost in the air. this constant transformation mechanic makes the gameplay feel really dynamic and unique. you need to keep progressing and get better at transforming at the right moment to overcome every obstacle along the way. its not very difficult or complex, actually its a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. another wonderful indie gem that I highly recommend!!

This is a pleasant enough puzzle adventure with good visual elements and a decent attempt at some interesting mechanics (the four origami shapes), but ultimately I didn't find the gameplay compelling enough to recommend. In fact, in parts the gameplay was downright frustrating. Examples include using the shuriken shape to destroy a barrier only for it to kick you back into a hazard, or a few times where you can't see enough of the path ahead to plan out a good route, forcing you to rely on trial and error and memorization, which is not very compelling gameplay. The story was also pretty light. But it's pretty cheap, so if you just want some pure vibes, it might be worth your while. This is definitely a game where I'd choose a middle rating if there was one.

There's heart, but ultimately, it's not a fun game.

Cute 3D platformer. Difficulty comes from the fixed camera position and janky controls. The controls are on purpose, but they still make for some irritating moments. I'm in the middle on recommending this, but I'll give it the thumbs up for the cuteness.

Absolutely loved this game! Cute, fun, neat concept and not too difficult but still a challenge in the mini games. Beautiful artwork and the music is a perfect fit. It was a nice change of pace and I enjoyed kicking back with a controller for this one. Total vibe, would 100% recommend.
