About Path of the Midnight Sun

The continent of Arvium. Sixty years ago, these lands bore witness to the arrival of an immortal being known as the Demon King. Tormented and driven to desperation, scholars of the land fell upon a controversial solution. The Demon’s soul would be pulled from His body, and sealed within a human. These custodians of the soul are simply known as “Vassals”.
Following 21 years of peace, a complacency has settled in around Arvium. However, when the newest Vassal, Lady Faratras Hoikade, murders her own soldiers in cold blood, the continent must reckon with the possibility that this is only the beginning of a journey filled with tears and blood; doubt and self-acceptance.

A fairly short but decent JRPG with a Visual Novel-style presentation. Main cast and general worldbuilding are executed well. There isn't anything particularly groundbreaking if you are familiar with the JRPG genre. A good bit of the game adheres to standard JRPG and anime tropes like demon kings, legendary heroes, and the obligatory onsen bath scene, but all of it is done with intent, which is applaudable. A lot of the dialogue options can be quite funny, especially during Suzaku's POV.1 found this helpful
Gosh, its hard to believe im going to finish one of the first games I downloaded off of Serenes. Given what i have experienced from the original idea. I can tell the story is great and will be better. Technically this might be the most successful hack originating from Serenes because its not a hack anymore.1 found this helpful
Unfortunately, I only really like it because of its connection to Fire Emblem, but... it is pretty cool. The artist is fantastic, but I feel like the art direction and story are heavily mismanaged. Curious to see if anything else comes from this team.1 found this helpful
Cloud Saves when? I really want to like this game, so much so that i purchased the collectors edition. I rembemer trying it out long long ago when it was still a Fire Emblem rom hack, ibut I geniuenly cannot get into it or properly enjoy it for one simple reason- no cloud save. I am constantly on the move and sadly rely on cloud saves in gaming way too often to continue my games on the go, and without a cloud save feature for this game I sadly cannot ever really get into it, since I always have to drop it for longer periods of time and when I get the chanche to play it again it just feels weird to continue such a story heavy game after a longer break. So I'm begging the dev Team sincerly, please add Cloud Saves! Most steam games have them and I admit i don't know how hard it is to implement, but I am begging, please add cloud saves for ppl like me. I will change my recommendation to positive once you do because i simply cannot enjoy the game without this simple feature.
