it's amazing game that draws you in and may leave you with a crippling addiction to keep playing it :)1 found this helpful
I've enjoyed my time with the game so far, and will likely play a a bit more, so I will leave a positive review. The game is very easy though. I am almost on the last difficulty and the only run I lost was because I took a very risky roulette option.1 found this helpful
Pawful Dice is a turn-based roguelike dice-builder that secretly has a lot of depth even though you are just rolling dice. The core gameplay loop has a very simple premise where you draft a squad of animal dice, clear branching map paths, and defeat the boss at the end of your run. The visual presentation is gorgeous, the animations are super clean, and the turn-based combat feels incredibly snappy and fast. Even though you are dealing with a heavy amount of dice luck, the game gives you an absolute ton of clever reroll mechanics and elemental spell loops to completely manipulate your odds. Plus, with five distinct difficulty levels to tackle, the initial progression feels incredibly rewarding. But here is where the bad stuff comes in. The biggest con by far is the actual depth of the content pool. The total amount of unlockable animal dice and relic items feels shockingly small for a game in this genre. If you take your time and have experience with roguelite deckbuilders, you can realistically see and unlock almost everything in just one to two game sessions. Because of that bare-bones pool, the fifteen-dollar price tag definitely hurts. Frankly, this feels like a ten-dollar gam…1 found this helpful
It's a very cute roguelike, easy to pick up and fun to play ! There are lots of different viable playstyles so the game feels really well balanced.
