Programmer Dungeon Knightress

Programmer Dungeon Knightress is a programming puzzle game and not a problem solving game. There are tight parameters on the solutions, guard rails to on solution unlike real programming and Zach-likes that are open-ended. The difficulty level is steep, unlike the video they show you. So if you like pure puzzles this is your game while if you want large solution set, problem solving games, this game is not it.

The game is unfinished, and I think it might have been abandoned. Wasn't really my cup of tea. Maybe I've just played too many other programming games, but this one felt a little restrictive, like there was only 1 right answer for most levels.

Programmer Dungeon is a clever and minimalist puzzle game that combines programming logic with dungeon exploration. Its simplicity is its strength: the core mechanics are intuitive, and solving puzzles using code-like instructions is both engaging and satisfying. The base game and its DLC can be completed in about an hour, which is fine for a small indie title — quality over quantity. The experience feels polished, the difficulty curve is well-paced, and the atmosphere is charming in its retro aesthetic. However, after reaching level 35, I noticed there is a Steam achievement for level 36 — and that's where the issues begin. Level 36 is not accessible, and there is currently no official way to complete the game 100%. After reading through the community discussions, I found that the developers had previously published a roadmap and even offered a temporary workaround for the missing content. That showed some promise at the time. Unfortunately, it's now been over a year without any updates or significant communication from the development team. I like this game it is middle challenging! Nice to keep the brain fit:) It was strange, that it has a button, which wasn't used in the puzzles, so I suggest, there will be updates and looking forward to solve it! :)

The game is LITERALLY unfinished. There's an achievement for a level 36 that is inaccessible. Each level is insanely strict, having a SINGLE solution, with some of the later levels being insanely unintuitive and wonky that when you finally see the solution, you're not left with satisfaction, but instead a feeling of "what the ♥♥♥♥, how the ♥♥♥♥ was I supposed to figure that out?". It's not very expensive, but it's still one of the few games that I'm going to request a refund for.
