Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin

I don’t have a VR headset, and I just bought the game. Honestly, I don’t even care whether I get to play it or not. Recently, Double Fine went through major layoffs. I’m a true Psychonauts fan. I still remember when the game was first announced on MTV Turkey. I’ll never forget that day. The ideas shown in that trailer were so mind-blowing.

TLDR; If you really want to get this game for more Psychonaut content, achievements, and something to play around on VR, grab this game on a sale (I got it when it was 80% off). The game is more of a glorified tech demo as the VR craze was really taking off. If you want the story, it's short enough to just watch a couple videos on YouTube. Taking place right after the events of the first game, this sequel is more of a 1.5 than a direct. We follow Raz, Lili, Sasha, Oleander, and Milla heading directly to a mission to rescue the Grand Head of the Psychonauts. You use a variety of psychic powers throughout the game to solve puzzles, navigate the world, and find out what happened to Grand Head Truman. All the characters still have their wonderful charm and personalities, even after 13 years of a hiatus the Double Fine team continues to deliver. The dialogue still has a lot of it's wit, and the story was a fun little adventure that, while straight forward, had me sit through the entire thing in one go. The gameplay itself is alright. It's soooo good I love it, a nice short and sweet bridge in between Psychonauts 1 and 2, and just a rlly good VR Physics Puzzler, It's so peak, I'm so glad I finally got to play it (kinda had to cheat in the last 3 story achievements because they didn't pop for some reason, VR bs, VR pisses me off sometimes)

I was blown away. if you have vr and you love psychonauts this game is necessity. don't worry about missing storyline for the next game, the developers were kind enough to consider that and cover all of the missing context in game 2 and there isn't much critical info in this. it's as short as it is sweet and i want to play it again already. details: - can play the entire game while sitting - gameplay is designed to avoid motion sickness - gameplay is about 15 minutes to an hour - graphics are 7/10 but my headset is VERY obsolete - puzzles are frustrating in a good way - raz won't shut up - milla vodello jumpscare at the beginning, why is she built like the witch from L4D2? - game is incredibly funny and endearing. chaotic vr players would have a blast with the dark humor potential - visually hypnotic and captivating the entire time. - makes you use your headset in a way that makes you feel like a real psychic using your powers - bonus points that your vr headset and headphones will make you feel like raz - story has hearbreaking moments. i genuinely paused and stared at the ground for a while during one of the levels because i was like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... i- i'm so sorry"
