About Trover Saves the Universe
Rescue your dognapped pups from a cosmic villain by controlling Trover, a sarcastic purple eye-hole creature who won't stop roasting you, across bizarre alien worlds filled with combat, puzzles, and absurd humor. This gonzo comedy adventure from Squanch Games lets you upgrade your mismatched duo to save the universe while making hilariously questionable decisions, playable in standard or VR formats.
Only you and Trover can save everything in this bizarre comedy adventure, created by Squanch Games!
- A comedy adventure filled with combat, platforming, puzzles, and morally questionable choices. See how the best intentions can go horribly awry.
- You control Trover's movements, but not his mouth. He’s got a lot to say about what’s going on in the game.
- Travel the cosmos to experience a variety of weird alien planets and bizarre characters with big personalities.
- Upgrade Trover AND YOURSELF with new abilities to (hopefully) defeat Glorkon while evading awkward situations.
- You'll be immersed in weirdness, no matter which display you use -- play on TV, monitor or VR headset displays.
- BONUS! INCLUDES FREE DLC:
- JOPO MODE: A new way to play!
- IMPORTANT COSMIC JOBS: Explore Trover's workplace to help co-workers, prevent grievous harm, and unlock original comedy sketches.

this game has its problems for sure but the amount of P-P-PURE byll$h1t dialogue npcs has is diabolical, it takes special amount of crazy to be this creative and i like the way characters are self aware of the game also. constant yapping is actually makes this game fun while others games feels like a chore to get through.1 found this helpful
This game is filled with "omg, I can't believe they went there" and it's hilarious. The mechanics are pretty good and the VR is simple (put your headset while playing the game sitting down). Controller is pretty much required to play this. Some of the gameplay can get a bit... less exciting but it's fine. Game makes up for it in other departments.1 found this helpful
Five hour game of pure Rick and Morty stupidity. +Funny +Stupid +Characters -Gameplay (while creative, quite simplistic) -Some music is really, REALLY repetitive and annoying1 found this helpful
This games weird, like REALLY weird. We're talking "Salvador Dalí having an acid trip in an amusement park" kind of weird !.......... And it's brilliant. It's not quite like anything I've played before. The control system's a bit odd at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The animation style is like a kids cartoon, and that somehow makes the foul language even funnier ! it's also not only about Rick and Morty humour, it's actually a pretty interesting game that just happens to have seriously foul dialogue. There's a fair bit of platforming mixed in with puzzle solving, and a lot of basic fighting too. I bought it a little while ago with a few other games, and didn't play it until last night. I intended to give it 15 minutes to see what it was about, and ended up playing for almost 2 hours, and fully intend jumping back into it tonight. If you like Rick and Morty, you'll like the humour in this. if you like platformers and puzzle games (And don't mind a bit of offensive language), you'll also probably like this. if you're looking for a first VR game for your 8 year old son............. erm........... I haven't started the game in censored mode yet, but I can't see how …
Unless the absurdist, Rick and Morty-style humor really clicks with you, I don't think there's a whole lot here. The comedy is the game. If you don't enjoy that style of humor, there honestly isn't enough here to make it worth playing. It has a few unique ideas, and I could see it being pretty fun in VR, but outside of that it didn't do much for me. If you love that kind of comedy, you'll probably have a good time. If you don't, I'd honestly skip it—even on sale. It's a decent game, but not one I'd recommend buying unless you're specifically here for the humor.
I'm a big Rick and Morty Fan. I've been aware of this game for some time, I shyed away from it on the Meta Quest due to the price, and due to the 'unsupported' on Steam Deck on the Steam store, I ignored this. After seeing it on sale, I took a deeper dive into comparability and, to my surprise, several users had mentioned it works on the Steam Deck. I have the LCD model, downloaded it and run flawlessly with no issues. It is hilarious, as in the first two seasons of Rick and Morty hilarious. I've only played for a couple of hours but have laughed out loud many times. Not sure why this isn't verified on the store. I even recommended this to my wife who is not a gamer and only a Rick and Morty fan by association with me.
