Queen's Blade Re:Build

there are no nudity but some panty shots and low effort whole png wobble animations rather than actual motion like live 2d etc. lot of game mechanics are making lot of cards outright useless. got better things to do than play this tbh especially when the actual old animation series had more quality in everyway.

Queens Blade, a series that started all the way back in 2007 more so as a way to redux the Western 'Lost World' series of 'Combat Books' but with barely clothed anime girls, has had it's up's and downs over it's nearly 20 years of being around. Re:Build for sure isn't what I'd call an 'up' point either both due towards it's presentation along with it just missing the mark in a few key ways. First and foremost: As a 'game' this is honestly very good as-is, and if this was a bit cheaper and wasn't attached towards the Queen's Blade IP would honestly have faired far better as a result. Taking the Teppen '3 lane' style of card combat gameplay, but making it more 'turn' based, with each of the 3 playable characters having their own strategies and cards unique towards them, along with the 'Armor Break' system that'll block an attack for you while also giving you cards and resources when you lose yours (and your opponent when they lose theirs!) yet you're also rewarded greatly for beating opponents by breaking all of their armor with more gold and an extra card to choose from. Honestly I will never understand why Valve keeps tagging games as "Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content" when the game itself has neither nudity nor sex. But that's neither here nor there. As a game it's fine; a roguelite deckbuilder of just three lanes of playing cards to attack each other, one card can only exist per lane, so the game is simple to play but there is a bit of an art to figuring out when to play into these lanes to get ahead of the enemy's nonsense without eating her attacks, less of a crafting combos in your deck game and more a phone booth knife fighting game. The music and art are charming, and Seibah herself voices Leina. But at the end of the day, what a lot of people are complaining about is that this game is a bit like Action Taimanin in that it is not as ecstatically lewd as this franchise is known for. It is still very sexy but in the usual current way in the modern marketplace that clamps down hard on any fan service normal men might like. I enjoy it, the game is fun enough and if you like QB you have no other choice and... well I kinda like the characters and story here even when I am not seeing outrageously suggestive and lewd stuff. As a longtime fan of QB, this game is an absolute treat for me. It's a loose retelling of the original story, using F.S.'s original artwork on many of the cards. And even if you're not a fan of Queen's Blade, it's a legitimately fun card battler with shades of Gwent. The color palette is bold and bright and the visuals are as appealing and full-figured as you'd expect. Love this game, and would love to see more content for it in future. (Oh, and it runs perfectly on my old potatomobile)

Great gameplay there's always some progression. It's a spire type combat and the designs while are very one of a kind there is no actual nudity. Likely going to be a fanpatch or official 18+ external patch available in the future. Overall would recommend, if you are on the fence about it do check out some gameplays.

It's a fun card game but it's not worth the price at all unless the devs add more content, wouldn't consider it unless you see a huge 80-90% discount. Very much a ''I am going to make a donation with this in the vain hopes they decide to try a bit more'' type of game. There's barely any content and barely any fanservice. -The only content unlocks gameplaywise are the two characters and the typical ascension mode (with a stronger last boss at the very end), all cards/relics/items are unlocked from the start. The only meta-upgrade is your character level which impacts your HP/starting mana/special skill (only usable in the story mode difficulty). There's barely any story, and it doesn't have any modern roguelike QOL (no retry, no mulligan, cards that float or add others to your hand don't let you see the effect of the card being added) -Achievements unlock artwork. I don't know how many of these are new but a lot of them are really old promotional art of the anime/manga/etc, there's literally advertisement pics of their QB figures as unlocks and even as trophy images.
