If you have 2 or more friends that you play online games with, and you are looking for any kind of strategy game to add to the mix, pick this one! You don't have to be a train-game enthusiast to enjoy this one. Go through the quick in-game multiplayer tutorial, play 3 rounds, and by the end, I guarantee you will begin to understand what this game is truly all about. The single-player experience isn't for everyone. Some people enjoy it. Others will be put off by the multiplayer-designed mechanics not being as interesting when facing non-humans. So what is this game exactly? It is an RTS, except unlike typically action-heavy RTS games where APM matters, this game only requires that you make a few critically timed actions while absorbing and analyzing a lot of (very well-presented) information. All you need is a mouse, and you can easily learn this game on the fly. The focus of the game is being able to guess the value of tracks within an evolving network, and at the same time, guess your opponents' perceived values of those tracks as well. The game scales with the competitiveness of the group. You can all play casually focusing on separate networks to see who is the most effici…

Fresh concept with a rewarding learning curve! > I really like this game—the core mechanics feel fresh and innovative. Early on (where I'm still at after 8 hours of play..) it can be tricky to gauge how a specific rail connection will impact your overall network and cash flow, which makes bidding feel like a shot in the dark. That uncertainty actually adds a fun, slightly agonizing charm to the early game. I'm not sure if a beginner mode or visual indicator showing projected impact could help smooth out the initial learning curve or spoil the game. Overall, a very intriguing concept!

Play the demo and then the full game. It’s a really refreshing game with mechanics that work really well together and make the co-op mode a lot of fun. I can’t think of a better way to hang out with your friends and shout at them every couple of minutes :). A really good game.
