I found the concept interesting, and given the low price I gave it a shot. Oh my. This is an alpha build, at best. The interface is clunky, absolutely unintuitive. Gameplay seems to be shallow, and I have no will to spend more time trying to dive deeper into the mud to be sure. To make things more complicated, the English tooltips and explanations are so badly written that it's sometimes fairly difficult to understand what it's supposed to mean (and if you think the same goes for my review, well, what can I say? I'm not from an English speaking country. Oh, and it's free :D). Ah. I still have to admit the thing did not crash. Had to be noted.9 found this helpful
It's okay. Some parts have bad English, some enemies are a bit tough, it's a bit hard to understand at first, but it's fine, really. I would've liked it more if my stuff didn't despawn at death.6 found this helpful
If you're a fan of tactical turn-based RPGs, Rayless is definitely worth checking out. The alternative fantasy world of Middle Ages is intriguing and the story is gripping. The game offers a challenging experience, as you lead a small human settlement against bloodthirsty monsters who have taken over the land. Customizing your characters and experimenting with different fighting strategies is key to success. I particularly enjoyed the unique missions and the different species of monsters spawned depending on sounds, resources, weather, time of day, and lighting. The game also offers an element of settlement management, allowing you to construct buildings, craft items, and grow plants. Trace your characters’ morale level as it affects their fighting skills, and hone your own unique fighting strategy proving preponderance of human mind over mosters’ physical force. Overall, I recommend Rayless for those who are looking for a challenging and rewarding RPG experience.2 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful
