Very basic boxing game but I enjoyed constantly Clinching against my opponent. Had my friends do this to each other while playing it on the switch and it was funny.11 found this helpful
Not the worst boxing sim. You can throw different punches and block. Watch out for energy because each action cost plenty. Dodging is also involved. And low energy provide weak hits. Gameplay wise it's ok. Other features like customization and characters are lacking here. Some more variety in scenery would be beneficial. I still prefer less realistic fighting games like Tekken, KoF, Street Fighter, simply because they are more fun. Removing...
4 found this helpful
I hadn't played this since November 2014 before ripping through it last night. As a fan of Barry McGuigan's Boxing on the C64 and Fight Night(s) on early PS, I do enjoy a bit of pugilistic programming. It shows its age but is still functional, it is almost impossible to lose with a guard / jab / counter strategy and there's not a lot of depth (even training and fight mini-games are basic) to the action. But did I enjoy it? You bet I did. Contemporary combat games have over-the-top mechanics that clearly a lot of people want. However, if you just want to 'box' and this is in your library, load it up and send some folk to the canvas.3 found this helpful

Very simple, semi-realistic game. Pretty fun, though!
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. worked my opponent in an online match with body shots, landed literally hundreds of jabs. The game doesnt track hits properly and even though my opponent never even got any clean shots in, it gave me two losses and a draw after multiple knockkdowns.
