2026 REVIEW: Since 1996, "Fish Eyes" (Japan title, aka "Reel Fishing" internationally) have been entertainment fishing fans since its release for the Sony Playstation in 1996. The game would receive different developers with WestOne Bit Entertainment for "FishEyes Wild" for the Dreamcast, Sims Infinity for "FishEyes Portable" for the Sony PSP, Sims would create games for the Wii and and WiiWare. In 2012, the game would reach its 15th anniversary with "Fish Eyes 3D" ("Reel Fishing Paradise 3D" for the Nintendo 3DS and starting with this game, the game would be developed by Tachyon, who is well known for their Nintendo Wii fishing game "Mezase! Tsuri Masuta" (Aim to be a Fishing Master). By 2015, Tachyon would try something different with the PlayStation Vita with "Reel Fishing ~wasureteita yakusoku" (the forgotten promise) which was a story that was meant to tug on one's heartstrings about a son visiting fishing spots that he went with his father. LOVE THIS GAME, RELAXING, DONT HAVE TO THINK MUCH, BUT PLEASE THERES NO BUTTON TO EXIT TO DEKSTOP, MAYBE THE DEVELOPER WANT US TO PLAY IT TILL THEY RELEASE NEW GAME. I LOVE IT, YOU SHOULD PLAY IT IF YOU LOVE FISHING
As a sequel to "Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure", I do think this game offered some genuine improvements, such as making the angling aspect a lot more involved than just reeling in and [i]maybe[/i] ocassionlly hit a QTE [i]if[/i] the fish jumps out, such as showing you the type of fish underwater once it bites and requiring some fighting similar to games like SEGA Bass Fishing. However, I was a bit disappointed by the "Above Water Rod Technique" segments; the QTEs were never particularly hard to hit on time (even if you miss you can quickly correct) and the inputs themselves were never more complicated than stick + A (IIRC, in the previous game would actually randomize which button you needed to press just for variety sake). Failing on them would mean to lose the fish immeditaly, but I never had such issue, so in exchange the reward for success is pretty underwhelming: you only gain some time to regain stamina (more on that later) but the fish isn't "stunned" for long enough to be reeled in. And they just become such an interruption when they're this close to the finish line, and the timer still runs in the background (thankfully, the game doesn't not interrupt you when the time'…
